"Heaven On Earth"
I have just finished reading a book called
Heaven On Earth by Mary Ellen Gilliland and recommend it to anyone
interested in knowing more about experiencing the presence of God here
and now. The chapters on the rapture are especially interesting as they
state the wedding feast will be a continuation of the Feast of
Tabernacles celebrated here on earth.
Another interesting
thought in this book concerns the need for our praise to God to rise up
as a way to bring on the rapture as soon as possible. God expects to
hear from us and wants to enjoy the feasts with us. It will be a time
of great joy and celebration -- a seven-year party in dark times. He
wants to hear from each of us in a personal way, at all times not just
set-aside prayer times and in fixed, repetitive words.
He
wants to hear from us as we would speak to a friend who is with us and
loves us. He wants to enjoy his creation with us. He wants to bless us
and know that we trust him for everything at all times. He will truly
never leave us nor forsake us even in times of trouble and pain. Call
on him whenever you can, he wants to hear from his beloved creation,
now and forever.
