Peter,

Your reference to John MacArthur's church in your last post stirred me to tell you of something that happened last year. I was in a christian bookstore and The Lord had prompted me that He was going to allow me to purchase a book He wanted me to have to study. The only condition was that He had to choose it. Personally, I prefer when He chooses :)  He lead me to a commentary series on the book of Romans in Scriputure and told me we would be studying all of John MacArthur's commentaries.

Peter, this has changed my walk and my life in spiritual ways I cannot express! John MacArthur's commentaries are so anointed it is just amazing. I have read all of Romans, Hebrews and have now started the first part of the book of John....amazing!

I am somewhat envious that I cannot attend his church, but I will enjoy his teachings in book form for however long we have. He really knows how to "paint a portrait" using the facts contained in both the New and Old Testament. Simply mindboggling. I love when The Holy Spirit shows off!
