This is a dream I had on March 23, 2010:
I and another woman I don't know were walking our dogs on leashes inside a house.
I was trying to give her space . She went straight through the house and I turned toward the kitchen.
I noticed a Christmas tree blocking the entrance to the kitchen. The tree was undecorated.
A turkey was trying to roost in the tree. It was black, and more the size of a pheasant
than a turkey, but I said "There's a turkey in the tree!"
It kept awkwardly turning around trying to get a foothold on a branch which was bending beneath
it's weight.
My mother walked by and I exclaimed again "A turkey!" and pointed at it. But she ignored me and kept walking.
End of dream
Immediately after this dream I had another. I was in a kitchen with someone, just talking. Out of
nowhere there was a great whooosh! and all the power went out. It wasn't a normal wind. Not a storm.
Just a very powerful , short gust of ....something outside.
I said " Don't worry. I'm prepared." I went to get two flashlights from a drawer. When I turned them on
I was very disappointed that they were both very weak. I had been so confident that I was prepared,
but realized I wasn't. End of dream.
Possible interpretations:
Dog walking may represent just going about our daily routines when something unexpected happens.
I was trying to stay apart from the other woman. She kept going, while I turned and saw the tree. Moses was going
about his business tending sheep when he turned aside to see why the burning bush was burning. Exodus 3:4 says
"When the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him from the midst of the bush." The woman may
represent those who do not have eyes to see and ears to hear the signs God is sending. I may represent those who
are looking and listening. God will speak to us and reveal things to come. (John 16:13).
A kitchen is a place of preparation. There was no access to it because of the tree. The tree itself
was undecorated (unprepared) for Christmas.
Perhaps that was because of the turkey.
A turkey is a symbol of plenty, of feasting. But this one was black and small.
Black symbolizes famine and death in the Bible. The third horse of the tribulation is the black horse of
famine and staggering inflation . (Rev. 6:5,6)
The branches of the tree were bending under the turkey's weight. It was too much for the tree to bear.
Maybe this
all indicates something that will happen around Thanksgiving time
(this or another year) that will affect food
supplies and the economy so catastrophically that people will be unable to afford Christmas decorations or may
not have the spirit to celebrate.
I think my mother represented the church, not my real mother.
The church, by and large, is not listening to all the warnings of the impending tribulation and the return of
Christ .They are unprepared and blindly going on their way.
The second
dream may be just personal and
metaphorical. i.e., light represents the Word of God
and I need to study
it more.
However, since it came right on the heels of the other one, maybe it's pointing to an actual event I need to prepare for
connected to Thanksgiving time.
Maybe there will be a real "whoosh" (terror attack, earthquake, EMP, nuclear blast...?) that will cause a massive power outage??
Anyway, I thought I should share and encourage everyone to be pray about whatever preparations the Lord would have
you make - spiritually and/or otherwise - for the coming days.
"Be ye therefore ready also. For the Son of Man cometh at an hour when you think not ." Luke 12:40
