Who Am I?
 By Jim Bramlett

Dear Internet friends:

Many of the 4-5 thousand or so who read my Web posts and e-mails, some from as far back as about 1995, may wonder, “Just who is this guy”?

Well, in response to overwhelming public demand (just kidding), please allow me to humbly share my most relevant and distinguishing characteristics.  Here is my resume:

My Resume

I am an object of God’s love, and nothing can separate me from that love (Romans 8:39).

I am a child of God (John 1:12; Romans 8:16).

He causes me to prosper and be in health (Proverbs 10:22; 3 John 2).

I am rich (2 Corinthians 8:9).

I can do all things through Christ (Philippians 4:13).

I am a joint heir with Christ (Romans 8:17).

It was the Father’s good pleasure to give me the kingdom (Luke 12:32).

If I believe it, speak it, and do not doubt it, I can move mountains (Mark 11:23).

Things I pray for, if I believe I receive them, I shall have them (Mark 11:24).

As He is, so am I in this world (1 John 4:17).

He supplies all my needs according to His riches (Philippians 4:19).

No evil shall come upon me, nor shall any sickness come near my house (Psalm 91:10).

He gives His angels charge over me (Psalm 91:11).

An angel encamps all around me (Psalm 34:7).

I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might (Ephesians 6:10).

He has given me authority over all the power of Satan (Luke 10:19).

Nothing Satan does can hurt me (Luke 10:19).

I can cast out demons (Mark 16:17).

When I leave my body, I will be present with the Lord, forever (2 Corinthians 5:8).

If He returns before I die, I will meet Him in the air, maybe soon (1 Thessalonians 4:17).

CONCLUSION

All my blessings and benefits have been purchased and paid in full by the blood of God’s Son, Jesus, and are given to me as a free gift.  Nothing I have ever done has earned anything.  That is called grace.

The above is my only boast.  But it is only part of who I am.  There’s much more, but I have run out of space.  For more, I refer you to the Bible.

If you are having an identity problem, feel free to use my resume and adapt it as your own.  It is applicable to anyone -- who believes.  When you believe and confess God’s Word and promises, they are actuated in your life.

The apostle Paul wrote,
“It is written: ‘I believed; therefore I have spoken.’ With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak” (2 Corinthians 4:13, NIV).
I believe, and have spoken.

Oh, one other thing….

I am what the Word says I am,
I can do what the Word says I can do,
I can have what the Word says I can have.

I'm not moved by what I see.
I'm not moved by what I hear.
I'm not moved by what I feel.
I'm moved only by what God's Word says about me.
That settles it.

Over and out.

Jim
