"re: dave molina" Wind could have parted Red Sea for Moses""

hi dave, exodus 14:

21 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided. 22 So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left. 23 And the Egyptians pursued and went after them into the midst of the sea, all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.
24 Now it came to pass, in the morning watch, that the LORD looked down upon the army of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and cloud, and He troubled the army of the Egyptians. 25 And He took offa] their chariot wheels, so that they drove them with difficulty; and the Egyptians said, “Let us flee from the face of Israel, for the LORD fights for them against the Egyptians.”
26 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the waters may come back upon the Egyptians, on their chariots, and on their horsemen.” 27 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and when the morning appeared, the sea returned to its full depth, while the Egyptians were fleeing into it. So the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. 28 Then the waters returned and covered the chariots, the horsemen, and all the army of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them. Not so much as one of them remained. 29 But the children of Israel had walked on dry land in the midst of the sea, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.
as it states in the text God used a wind and it doesn't say they drowned. i live about 20 minutes from the ocean and surf and boogie board a few times a week. a 6 foot wall of water can break your neck, disorient you (many times i have to use my leash to find the surface because i don't know which way is up). the egyptians might not have have learned how to swim, and even if they did, they probably had some sort of clothing that weighed them down. plus, they would have gotten entangled with the chariots and reins used for the horses.

a few years ago, i was swimming in the ocean in hawaii and got got off a point with waves coming at me from three different ways so that i couldn't catch a breath. the current was fast moving and i knew i was going to drown (in about 6 feet of water), i gave it one more try and made it only by the grace of God. if this could happen to me and experienced ocean swimmer i give the egyptians no chance of surviving.

between the crushing weight of the water, the turbulence created by the water returning, entanglement, water inexperience and who knows what else, i think the scientists have just confirmed the story.

Ahhh, once again Science tries to explain away a miracle of God. They only forgot one thing, how do they explain away how the entire Egyptian Army that was pursuing them could have drowned in only six feet of water??? Oh, well, who cares about facts, when they can create their own fiction!!
