"definition of the current US economic recovery"

The news media is passing news from the White House that the recession ended last year.
Gee, I guess we will vote democrat again.
 
Well if you tell a lie so many times maybe some one will believe it.
 
A good example of a recession as described to me by my daughter in law is when people stop going to the dentist because money is tight.
That makes sense, first food then health maintenance.
 
So recently I went by a very busy medical clinic and noticed that the parking lot was only half full.
As I traveled further down the road I noticed the Costco parking lot was full.
So that is a recession, people have their priorities you know, first food, then health then teeth.
 
So then a depression must be when Costco goes out of business.
 
Which means a deep depression would be when the dollar store goes out of business.
 
Just trying to clear things up.
