"re: Have We Anointed an Unworthy Shepherd?  (meaning Glenn Beck)"

I think the problems are:

1) Glenn Beck has a daily TV show that millions of dissatisfied people watch, Christian and nonChristian.  Christian and nonChristians responded.

2) Glenn Beck was willing to stick his neck out (and reputation and career) on the line to organize and hold this rally.

3) Yes, its too bad a true Christian Leader with national recognition didn't attempt to do this.  But they are too afraid of losing their 401 c) 3 "charitable organization" status so that church donations remain a Tax Deduction by contributors.  So the IRS has won on that score.  Glenn Beck doesn't have a church to lose.

4) Fortunately from what I heard, Glenn Beck did not promote Mormonism.  But he did promote "God", and that's a good thing.

5) Until we have a Christian Leader leader with national recognition willing to stick his "neck out" (correction, willing to risk losing his 401 c) 3 tax exempt status), we will have go with what we've got.  God looked for a man to stand in the gap, and (apparently) Glenn Beck said, "I'll do it!"
