Daniel 8:24
"Seventy 'sevens' are decreed for YOUR PEOPLE and your holy city to finish transgressions........"

The phrase "your people" refers to the 'Jewish people' of the Nation Israel, and has nothing whatsoever to do with 'The Church'.

 When the '70th Week of Daniel' begins things will begin to change dramatically for the Jewish people and the Nation of Israel. Those of Christ's Church who are 'watching' for the rapture to occur will know what the meaning of what they are witnessing is.

If you think that Israel is having a 'tough time' in the world now, just wait until after the '70th Week of Daniel' begins under God's direction. During the first-half of the '70th Week' God will use 'His power of persuasion' to bring the Jewish people to Him, but during the second-half God will use 'His persuasion of wrath' during the "great tribulation" to bring them to Him.

The 'Church' will be witness to a portion of the first-half of the '70th Week of Daniel' (as a sign) prior to the rapture occurring before the "great tribulation" begins. (Matthew 24) The 'rapture' is pre-great-tribulation.
