It was one of many I wrote as a sort of "rock opera" type thing based on "Who Hath Believed Our Report" and starts with Paul asking that question quoting Isaiah and moving through other songs by the disciples then coming to our day with the rapture and then this one directed to those left behind as sung by Jesus Himself being very sad:   WAS IT NOT TOLD YOU   Was it not told you?  How did it take you by surprise?  Was it not clearly laid, laid out before your wandering eyes?   Was it not a story told so many times since so long ago?  How did you not hear it?  How can you say you did not know?   Was it not told you?   - guitar- (Jesus in anguish)   Was it not told you?   Now you must die.    Was it not told you?   Was it not told you?   Was it not told you?   Was it not told you?    And as you weep and wail gnash your teeth and cry remember this relationship I bought for you and I.   You were the body I was the head.  Yet you tried to live without Me  now live without your own instead.   Was it not told you...
