"DOVES, WE MUST NEVER FORGET OUR RESPONSIBILITY!"

Dear Doves,

I'm blessed by the insight and Bible knowledge from those who contribute to the Five Doves site. I truly believe we are in the last of the "Last Days." Do you realize how few Spirit-filled Christians have been moved by the Holy Spirit to see and interpret the signs of the times?

2 Timothy 4:6  For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing (rapture).

I think you will all agree with me when I say that I'm overwhelmed at the thought that we as the Children of God through our faith in His Son will be in His Presence soon. Because we have been given this knowledge and assurance we have also been given a grave responsibility.

Luke 12:47 And that servant who knew his master's will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.  48 But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

We all know what the Bible says about the times of trouble which will befall this world during the judgment of the earth as told in Revelation and throughout the Bible. Jesus is our best resource on the eternal state of any non-believer. We must never forget the torment that awaits the lost.

Matt 13:49  So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just,  50 and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth."

I believe that as I stand before our Savior the times that I missed reaching out in compassion to the lost will be some of the worst wood, hay and straw. It will show my selfishness.

1 Cor 3:12  Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each one's work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is. 14 If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.

Now I'll get to my point. I MUST always remember not to obsess with the end times at the point of neglecting the lost. Which includes the time I can spend in prayer for them.

I'm sad to say I fall far short of being the man God wants me to be. I must bear fruit for the Kingdom and not serve myself. I must manage my time for God's glory. Never neglecting my brother who is going to Hell.
