"Before you vote, take this test...."

Dear friends:

Take this test to see if Barack Obama represents your views.  The wording on this test seems fair and straight-forward.  You may be surprised at the results.  See http://www.barackobamatest.com/

By the way, when this election campaign began, I initially decided to stay neutral, not take sides, and not use my e-mails to be for or against either candidate.  However, as time went on, I was reminded of the millions of military people who have given their lives for this nation and who lie in hero's graves today, all over the world.  I remembered my dad in World War II.  I remembered my own 20 years of military service.  I began to be more and more concerned about the present danger to our country.  It is not a time for cowardice or timidity.

While John McCain is not perfect, I decided I cannot sit idly by and watch a radical liberal, and Marxist- and Muslim-trained abortionist with close anti-American associations take over the Presidency.  I must speak out, even as I realize that Jesus is coming soon.  We must occupy until He comes.  As much evil as exists in America, there are still millions of God's people, righteous people in this country -- surely more so than the few God was seeking before He destroyed Sodom.

No doubt I have stepped on a few toes, but I have received less than a half dozen complaints about my views.  Only two or three were from black folks whose choice of Obama is obviously based solely on his skin color, which is a tragedy.  They are choosing skin color to give him approval instead of disapproval because of his advocacy of the mass slaughter of unborn babies.  I do not understand such reasoning, especially among those who claim to be Christians, but it is a twisted and deep-seated cultural phenomenon.  They accuse me of being racist when that, in fact, describes their own condition.  I am not racist because there are many very sharp black people I could fully support for the Presidency -- but they are not liberals.  They include Governor Michael Steele, Dr. Thomas Sowell, Dr. Walter E. Williams, Ambassador Alan Keyes, and others.

Let's stop racism now!  This is the 21st century!

Such an e-mail came yesterday and I was going to answer it but due to a computer problem I lost all of yesterday's e-mails, if that person would want to resend their complaint.  On another issue, another fellow needed an answer but I don't even know who he is now.  Sorry about that.

But please take the above test, especially if you are an Obama supporter, to see if anything more other than his skin color appeals to you.

Jim
