I watched the debate last night and I was struck by the total appearance of evil in Obama.  His eyes glinted like pieces of steel, no softness or humor to be seen there.  His stance was the conquering hero, total self absorption, arrogant and attempting to look every inch presidential.  His manners were rude, interrupting the elder statesman and the monitor, refusing to abide even by the rules of debate.  He was evasive in his answers.  His very presence said "Be afraid, be very afraid!"  Actually, I had the feeling I was watching and listening to the AC in person.  So if it isn't him, he is certainly a sample of what the earth is about to receive.  Maybe he is the warm up act?  But - - - all the world is singing his praises.  Everywhere you read about the response of other nations, it is very positive.  They seem to be encouraging the USA to elect him.  It is as if he is not really running for the US Presidency but for the World Crown.
 
Then today, I read more about our troops being put on high alert this next week.  But we are not on alert, are we?  We are not at war, are we?  Are they going on high alert because of Russia's presence, Al Quaida's threats, China's unrest?  Are they going on high alert because our government is afraid of the governed, our citizens?  Are things going to get that bad that quickly?
 
Why won't people listen?  Even Christians get a glazed look in their eyes when I try to tell them He is coming soon.  The signs seem to escape them.  We have weathered hard times before and we can this time.  We had the Great Depression in the 30s and the Recession in the 50s, this will pass just as they did.
 
I mourn over the division of Jerusalem and of Israel.  Does noone else see that this is in opposition to what God's Word says to us about Jerusalem?  God says it is not to be divided.  The Arab cries Palestine for the Palestinians, not the Jews.  But the Bible says it is the land of Abraham and Isaac, of Moses and Joshua, of David and Solomon, the land of the Jewish people.  But even the Jews are calling for Land for Peace.  Do they not realize there is no such thing?  Why can't they trust in Almighty God, put an end to the talks for peace and redeem their land?
 
It is all coming to pass just as the prophets foretold and I am witness to it.  It is coming to pass just as Jesus said it would and I am here to see it.  When I left work 2 weeks ago to have my surgery, I felt like I was walking out for the last time.  Maybe?  Maybe before I can return, we will have been Raptured!  Come now, Lord Jesus.
 
There are Christians in other countries who are now being put to death under sharia law for being Christians.  Even the Hindus who have been fairly tolerant are rising up against the saved in India.  We in the USA are so blessed to be able to worship as we please, read our Bibles, pray - but that will soon come to a halt.  It is coming.  I can feel it.  I can hear it in the political rhetoric.
 
There is joy and gladness in my soul today for I know that my Redeemer is near, maybe days, maybe weeks, maybe months away - but He is near.  There is also sadness and grief in my soul today for those who are deaf and do not hear, for those who are blind and will not see, for those who are just indifferent.  I am especially sad for Israel.  They believe a lie and they trust in a man, a government, not in God.
 
We need to remain in an attitude of prayer.  The Rapture is coming!  How many are listening for the Shofar and His call to us?
