Jim Bramlett alerted me of your posting of September 25th asking about full gospel churchs in Austin, Texas. I normally spend quite a bit of time at Five Doves, but missed your post until Jim notified me of it yesterday. Jim and I are long-time friends going back more than 36 years when we were stationed together in the Air Force.
My family has lived in Austin for 31 years and I would humbly say that I have a pretty good knowledge of many of the Spirit-filled churches here. Shortly after we moved here I became the Christian School Principal of a large spirit-filled church which gave me good contact with several other similar churches. In our entire time living here I have been fortunate to maintain contact with the spirit-filled community through different ministries and involvements such as FGBFI, Focus on the Family NDP, and CareNet, (the national Crisis Pregnancy Center ministry) among others.
For the past 6 ½ years we have been active members of what we consider the best spirit-filled church in our part of Austin (if not the entire area),the Church of Glad Tidings, (A/G). See www.gladtidings.org . In similar fashion my 3 adult children and families go to equally good spirit-filled churches in other parts of Austin.
