One year ago as I was walking through my house I heard, "the day the world stops turning". I have searched for an acceptable explanation but have to admit I can't understand what this might mean. I would appreciate any comments as to what this means. The day was Sept. 22, 2006 or Elul 29. This year Elul 29 is Sept. 12, the day before Rosh HaShana.
Then today as I revisited this I was once again searching for any clues and found the poetry below.http://windwordsbymariah.blogspot.com/
The Sun
by Mariah, age 13A luminous beacon of hope for the meek,
The light end of the tunnel, sinners seek,
The world's clock strikes noon, burning shirtless backs,
Of unfortunate slaves carrying baskets and sacks.War-hungry leaders seeking darkness, not light,
The world's everlasting flame, forever burning bright,
Farmers cry out and pray for plentiful crops,
A loud silence of many, the world's clock stops.Amidst chaos and destruction, the beacon is lost,
The end of the Olympics, the world's discus tossed,
Darkness falls upon the arrogant world below,
In revenge, the beacon, extinct, drops its halo. The world stops turning, as the beacon expires,
Gloom falls upon bustling cities and great empires,
Silence and blindness, not a cry nor a tear,
Sooner than you think, Judgment Day draws near.
