Dear Doves,

A precious Christian lady and her two young children attend
my church. Her husband Ron was home on leave less than
three weeks ago before being redeployed to Afghanistan.
Ron was injured in a roadside explosion on Saturday. He has
schrapnal in both legs, a broken leg, and several other injuries.

Ron was airlifted to Germany sometime Sunday for surgery. He
needs a metal rod in the broken leg and more metal removed
from his body.

Tina, his wife, told us this is the second time Ron has been
wounded by enemy fire. God spared him both times. I don't
know what exploded but from what was said anyone within
10 feet of this type of object that went by his head dies on
impact. Ron was exactly 10 feet away. The kill radius can
extend well past the 10 feet minimum so Ron was truly spared
by God.

Tina said yesterday that she had been praying for God to get
her husband's attention since he is not saved. Several people
said this was going to be his ticket out of the danger zone. I
pray that is so. He does believe that God has protected him
because of his wife's prayers. His mother is a strong Christian
as well.

Thank you for how you feel led by the Spirit to pray for this
family. If Ron needs to spend any length of time in Germany
for rehabilitation, it may be possible for his family to join him for
a while.
