Yesterday God caused me to run across this article I had written years ago for Harmony Magazine. I published another one but not this one. I knew He had a reason for my finding it but had no idea why until I read your post. God is so good!
 
Your neighbors are in my prayers. I know the pain they are going thru if they have lost pets in the fire. I pray for their comfort. I pray also that they know God did not allow their animals to suffer. In a time of pain God created in them the ability for their brain to give off endorphines which lessen pain. God told me this years ago after my dog died and I needed to know she did not suffer. I have checked it out with medical doctors and veternarians who confirmed that for me.
 
Would you please email me if they have need of anything because of the fire. I would like to do what I can for them. I would be willing to call them and talk with them also if that would help, when they know where they will be staying.
 
May God minister His grace to you and your wife as you minister to your neighbors.
