Mr. Westphall, I can't believe you stated almost verbatim what I wrote in my journal last night!!! I am convinced God is laying on His children's hearts the same message - He's coming, He's coming, He's coming just like He promised. I said watching was akin to when I was a child and I would wait on Sunday afternoons for my cousins to come to their grandma's after church. I knew I could go play with them (I was an only child, so that was really important to me!). I would start watching as soon as I got up for their car, and then I would run down to meet them so we could play. This is sort of the antithesis of the prodigal son story, isn't it? We're waiting for Jesus, while He is a long way off. :) But, oh, He is coming so much closer, and if we are really watching for Him, then we will recognize Him when he gets closer, and we will rush to Him and throw our arms around Him!I've been reading a devotional, Streams in the Desert, and the last few devotionals have had Scriptures that relate directly to the rapture. It's uncanny, really, since this book was written in 1925 (updated in 1997). Yet the messages are the same today as they were then.
What an exciting time to be alive!!!!
