Cherise had given me a bit more detail than she gave in her 5 Doves posting:

and wondered if I knew what the spiritual significance of hearing bells ringing might be.  I’ve never had that happen to me, so I had no idea what the significance could be, unless maybe to wake sleeping Christians out of slumber.  So I wrote our dear Pastor Riley and asked him if he had any idea.  I LOVED his take on the matter!!!  Here was his response:

 

Dear Peggy,

 

    If what she is hearing is genuinely from the Lord, then the only thing I can think of is the bells on the fringe of the High Priest's garment.  The High Priest wore bells on the fringes of his garment each time that he entered the Most Holy Place beyond the veil.  As long as the people could hear the bells ringing as he move about, they knew that the awesome God had not killed him.  When his work was concluded in the Most Holy, then the people could hear the bells ringing as he came walking out. 

    If your friend is really hearing bells from the Lord, then the only conclusion I could come to is that the Lord is preparing to leave Heaven and come back for His people, just as the High Priest would leave the Most Holy Place.
