I do not believe the US is going to touch Iran.  I don't think God will allow it to happen.  It could be that just before we are going to attack Iran, the rapture happens (this is what I believe) or Russia gets wind of the attack and sends G.W. a stern warning not to (Ezekiel 38 says that Gog, who is Russia, is to act as a guard or a defense of those with him).  Either way, something happens to make the US a non-issue during the Gog-Magog war.  And with the alignments almost completely into play surrounding that prophecy, I would say any US attack against Iran will hamper that.  As for Israel and Syria?  All this talk about suspected nuke facilities, if true, would force a war between Israel and Syria.  The only question is, who gets to take the first shot.  We know from Isaiah 17 that it begins at night begins in turmoil and Damascus is completely destroyed.  I trust God that he would not harm the righteous with the wicked (Abraham's discusion regarding Sodom and the Jesus' parable of the tares and the wheat), so the large christian population of Syria needs to be removed first.
