I found something very interesting while reading your post.  If Psalms 27 is a a picture of 2007,  I looked ahead to Psalms 33, which is 2013, 6 years ahead...(7 year trib cut short)
And Psalms 33 paints a picture of the 2nd Coming of Christ.

Psalm 33 verse 8

8  Let all the earth fear the LORD:
         let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
