Many thanks to Peggy for the link about the Temple Mount. These are some thoughts I had and notes I made after listening to the audio tape. Perhaps other can help brain-storm on this...Blood-Red Moon
The Old and New Testaments speak of a blood-red moon prior to Jesus Christ's return.
Joel 2:31 (KJV) The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD come.
Acts 2:20 (KJV) The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come.
The Jewish Talmud (book of tradition/interpretation) says, "When the moon is in eclipse, it is a bad omen for Israel. If its face is as red as blood, [it is a sign that] the sword is coming to the world."
Total-eclipse “blood-red” moons are rare. The next total-eclipse/ "blood-red" moon will occur on Feb. 21, 2008. Having another total eclipse this close to a previous one is extremely rare; to say the least, we will be watching that day with much interest.
Blood red moonsJuly 16, 2000--handshake on White House lawn-no peace because of Temple Mount to PA In early September 2000, about two months after Ehud Barak and Yasser Arafat returned empty-handed from the failed summit at Camp David, a series of clandestine meetings was held in Jerusalem between Israelis and Palestinians. Most of them took place in an isolated private home in the western Jerusalem suburb of Ein Karem and were meant to find a formula that would resolve the harsh dispute that broke out at the summit around the future of the Temple Mount. The crux of the dispute centered on sovereignty, and nothing else. While Arafat demanded that the entire Temple Mount — Haram al-Sharif in Arab terminology — would be under full and exclusive sovereignty of the Palestinians, Barak demanded that partial sovereignty over the site — which, to the disbelief of several of his colleagues in the Israeli delegation, he suddenly began to call "The Holy of Holies" — would remain in Israel's possession. It was Arafat's and Barak's stubborn insistence on sovereignty that prevented an agreement. rafat insisted on full and exclusive Palestinian sovereignty "both because he wanted to go down in history as having liberated the Temple Mount and because he wanted the Temple Mount to provide a pan-Muslim counterweight to the little State of Palestine." But Barak wanted to go down in Jewish history as the man who gave Israel sovereignty, if only partial, over the Temple Mount.
< 7 years, 1 month, 13 days>August 28, 2007--Ehud Olmert offers PA Temple Mount, Judea, Samaria Tuesday, Aug. 28, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert presented the Palestinian Authority with a formal plan in which the Jewish state would forfeit the Temple Mount — Judaism's holiest site — to Muslim control, according to top Palestinian sources. Later on Tuesday, Aug. 28, President George W. Bush told the 89th Annual Convention of the American Legion in Nevada: Iran's active pursuit of technology that could lead to nuclear weapons threatens to put a region already known for instability and violence under the shadow of a nuclear holocaust. Bush also said, "We seek to advance a two-state solution for the Israelis and Palestinians so they can live side by side in peace and security. Israel's secular leadership of Ehud Olmert, Ehud Barak and Shimon Peres are leading their nation into a very dangerous period, not to forget the role George W. Bush and Condoleezza Rice are playing. At this time, (just after the August Blood Red Moon) Jerusalem's Temple Mount is being violated with bulldozers and precious artifacts destroyed, as Olmert offers the PA sovernity of the Temple Mount. Also, in America, the borders are falling to our nation's sovernity, and we are being railroaded into the North American Union. The thieves and murders have already envaded both Israel's and America's borders. According to scripture, this bodes a great day of darkness upon the nations of the world.<5 months, 25 days>Febuary 21, 2008--next blood red moon! 2+2+1+2+8=1515 - Samek (Ord) + Yah (Divine Name)SEVEN YEAR VERSES:Gen 41:53 ¶ And the seven years of plenteousness, that was in the land of Egypt, were ended. 54 And the seven years of dearth began to come, according as Joseph had said: and the dearth was in all lands; but in all the land of Egypt there was bread. 55 And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread: and Pharaoh said unto all the Egyptians, Go unto Joseph; what he saith to you, do. 57 And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to buy [corn]; because that the famine was [so] sore in all lands. Lev 25:8 ¶ And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years. 9 Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth [day] of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land. 10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout [all] the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family. When all Israel is come to appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing. So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days' pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me. 14 And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies [are] great: and let me not fall into the hand of man. 15 ¶ So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beersheba seventy thousand men. 16 And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite. 17 And David spake unto the LORD when he saw the angel that smote the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, be against me, and against my father's house. 18 ¶ And Gad came that day to David, and said unto him, Go up, rear an altar unto the LORD in the threshingfloor of Araunah the Jebusite. 2Sa 24:21 And Araunah said, Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy the threshingfloor of thee, to build an altar unto the LORD, that the plague may be stayed from the people. 1Ki 6:38 And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which [is] the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it.(Solomon's Temple) And the woman arose, and did after the saying of the man of God: and she went with her household, and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years. 3 And it came to pass at the seven years' end, that the woman returned out of the land of the Philistines: and she went forth to cry unto the king for her house and for her land. 2Ki 11:17 ¶ And Jehoiada made a covenant between the LORD and the king and the people, that they should be the LORD'S people; between the king also and the people. 18 And all the people of the land went into the house of Baal, and brake it down; his altars and his images brake they in pieces thoroughly, and slew Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars. And the priest appointed officers over the house of the LORD.
19 And he took the rulers over hundreds, and the captains, and the guard, and all the people of the land; and they brought down the king from the house of the LORD, and came by the way of the gate of the guard to the king's house. And he sat on the throne of the kings. 20 And all the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was in quiet: and they slew Athaliah with the sword [beside] the king's house. 21 Seven years old [was] Jehoash when he began to reign. Jer 34:14 At the end of seven years let ye go every man his brother an Hebrew, which hath been sold unto thee; and when he hath served thee six years, thou shalt let him go free from thee: but your fathers hearkened not unto me, neither inclined their ear. Eze 39:9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:And she [was] a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served [God] with fastings and prayers night and day. 38 And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem. All "7 year" verses seem to be connected to the Temple or Temple Mount.FIVE MONTH VERSES: And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his (Zacharia) ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house. 24 And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying, 25 Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on [me], to take away my reproach among men.
26 ¶ And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. 3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. 5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment [was] as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. 6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. Rev 9:10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power [was] to hurt men five months. 11 And they had a king over them, [which is] the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue [is] Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath [his] name Apollyon. WHERE'S THE OUTRAGE?Zep 1:12 And it shall come to pass at that time, [that] I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither will he do evil. Zep 1:13 Therefore their goods shall become a booty, and their houses a desolation: they shall also build houses, but not inhabit [them]; and they shall plant vineyards, but not drink the wine thereof. The great day of the LORD [is] near, [it is] near, and hasteth greatly, [even] the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. Zep 1:15 That day [is] a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, Zep 1:16 A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers. Zep 1:17 And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung. Zep 1:18 Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD'S wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land. All "5 month" verses seem to concern judgment, and as well the Blood red moons seem to concern judgment/redemption on the Day of The Lord.Kay
