"Israel's new sheriff in town"

Dear friends:

In the spring of 1974, a beautiful blond lady in her mid-30s landed
after midnight on the shores of Beirut, Lebanon in a commando boat.
She walked three miles in the streets of Beirut and found the address
of the building she was looking for. It was close to 2 in the
morning, and the time had come. She rang the reception bell, and shot
the receptionist as soon as he opened the door.

She then proceeded to the elevator of what was the residential
quarters of Yassir Arafat's top aides. Inside the PLO main
residential corps, the blond went up to four apartments. In each
apartment, the routine was repeated. To make a long story short, 20
minutes later, the blond walked back to her boat ashore, leaving
behind Arafat's four closest assistants dead in their beds. All were
involved in terrorism activities and in the Munich 1972 Olympic
terrorism massacres.

The name of this blond lady: Major Ehud Barak, who in 1999 became
Israeli Prime Minister, serving until 2001.

In June 2007, Ehud Barak was appointed Israel's Minister of Defense.

Just three months later, on September 6, 2007, it was just after
midnight when the 69th Squadron of Israeli F15Is crossed the Syrian
coast-line. On the ground, Syria's formidable air defenses went
dead.  An audacious raid on a Syrian nuclear cache, believed to be
from North Korea, 50 miles from the Iraqi border was under way.

At a rendezvous point on the ground, an Israeli air force commando
team was waiting to direct their laser beams at the target for the
approaching jets. The team had arrived a day earlier, taking up
position near a large underground depot. Soon the bunkers were in flames.

A news report said this operation into Syria was at Ehud Barak's direction.

The success of the operation brought a measure of redemption for the
Israeli Defense Force after severe criticism following the failures
in the recent war in Lebanon.

Barak reportedly said or implied that he was "the new sheriff in town."

For sure, Ehud Barak knows about commando operations and attacking
the enemy secretly.

May God bless this "new sheriff" and give him favor and success
against all of Israel's enemies.
