Having studied numbers for many years, I have concluded that the number 444 actually means "Flesh and blood".
 
Matthew 16:17
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven
 
Flesh and blood = 361 + 31 + 52 =444 (Greek values) Jesus = 888 (444 x 2), 444 also takes place of 666.  Numbers never come on their own, in their witness they like to surround themselves with a family of numbers that end up
being part of a huge pattern.
