Dear Peggy,

We will pray that the AC works. We had a blackout here 2 days after Jim got home from the hospital. It was from
8 pm until midnight. The temperature was 110 ( major heat wave ). The air in our apartment was HOT, stuffy, muggy and stifling. Jim could hardly breathe. We felt it was life-threatening. If the electricity had not come on by midnight...who knows ??

The next day I went to the hardware store and bought BATTERY operated fans. At least we will have air moving during the next black out. Because of global warming and the increase of intense heat waves, we were told to expect "rolling blackouts". Our battery operated fan cost $13.00. ( It was 13 inches wide ).
Also they have a personal-size fan at $6.00.

If you can get a battery-operated fan, that might help, though I realize nothing beats an AC.

As I mentioned earlier, we will pray for the AC to be fixed.
