"Re: Tithingt"
I really have no problem with tithing as long
as it isn't a requirement imposed on anyone. I have attended churches
where it was. I remember a poor woman, such a Godly woman who was
unemployed, not by choice, but she spent her time all day long, every day
in prayer and reading the Bible. She was told by the pastor that
she was stealing from God because she did not tithe. And not one
bit of that was true. She tithed many tithes of her time to God.
She gave Him what she could give Him. A certain amount of money given
to God could never equal the focus and time and love she gave Him.
A requirement to tithe is just simply wrong, we are not under any law,
Jesus fulfilled the law, all of it. The Apostle Paul made that clear
in many verses in the New Testament.
