More Light on the Nephilim

    “There were giants [nephilim] in the earth in those days [the days of Noah], and also after that, when the sons of God [ben-ha-elohim] came in unto the daughters of men [Adam], and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men [enosh; mortals] which were of old, men [enosh] of renown,”  Genesis 6:4.

Introduction

    After posting my study, “There were Giants in the Earth,” I received an email from one of my readers.  Because the question set forth in this brother’s email is something others have probably wondered about, I want to share my answer to this brother with all of our readers. 
    Following is an excerpt from the brother’s email…..

    “I am stuck with the following conundrum:  I believe that all life is created by God.  So…..why would God create angel/human cross breeds…..?  Not to put too fine a point on it, but God forbids humans to have sex with animals.  Even when we [mankind] do, which is totally disgusting, God doesn’t allow some kind of human/animal cross breed to be born.  So why would He have allowed this?  I hope I am not sounding like a skeptic…..I am a true believer in Jesus Christ.  I’m just confused.  I understand…..God’s purpose in allowing evil things to happen…..It helps strengthen the faith of believers and believers to be.  I’m just confused on why God would specifically create life from an angel/human mix.”

My Answer

    Brother, God did not create angel/human cross breeds [Nephilim].  Such wicked cross breeds were [and are] the work of Satan and his fallen angels.  Satan is himself a created being, and has no power to create anything.  Satan, according to examples set forth in the Scriptures, has the power to manipulate matter that has already been created, but he has no power to create new matter.  Manipulation is the extent of his power. 
    I want to set before you a truth that most people, including most believers, seem to have overlooked…..

The Power of Procreation

    When the Lord created Adam and Eve, He implanted within them the power of “procreation.”  Procreation is the inherent ability to bring another human being into existence at any time a man and woman chooses to do so, unless the Lord wills otherwise.
    We living today were not “created” by a direct act of God.  We were born of our parents, just as our parents were born of their parents before them, and etc.  It is plainly stated in Genesis 1:27, “So God created man [Adam] in His own image; male and female created He them.”  A similar statement is recorded in Genesis 5:1-2.  But then in Genesis 5:3 we read, “And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image;  and called his name Seth.”  Seth was not directly created by God, as was his father Adam.  Rather, Seth was “procreated” by the gift of procreation that the Lord had placed within Adam and Eve. 
    Our children are not directly created by God as were Adam and Eve.  Rather, our children are “procreated” by the inherent power of procreation that Almighty God has placed within us, a “gift” that has been passed on from parents to their children throughout human history, Romans 5:12. 
    I can only wish that my fellow human beings, especially God’s people [true believers], understood this truth.  If they did, perhaps they would regard the gift of procreation as a “holy” gift, given by God only for the pleasure and enjoyment of a man and woman legally and morally married in the sight of God, Matthew 19:4-6.  If the power of procreation was acknowledged and respected as a “holy” gift from God, there wouldn’t be all of the sexual immorality that is sweeping the world today.  I weep over such ignorance among mankind, and especially over the perversion, defilement, depravity, and abuse of such an awesome “gift” from our gracious God.  The power to procreate should be respected and held in purity, cleanliness, and holiness by every human being. 

The Lord’s Intervention

    The power to procreate was given by the Lord only to mankind, animals, birds, fish, and other earthly living creatures.  Since the Lord bestowed such power upon mankind, the Lord can intervene in the use of that power at any time He chooses to do so.
    God’s Word gives us several examples of the Lord “closing the womb” so that certain women could not have children.  See Genesis 16:1, 20:17-18, 30:1-2, 1 Samuel 1:5-6, Romans 4:17-21, and other similar Scriptures.   But we also find the Lord “opening the womb” several times in the Scriptures.  See Genesis 29:31, 30:22-23, 1 Samuel 1:19-20, Luke 1:30-31, and various other Scriptures. 
    Folks, God’s Word specifically states, “Lo, children are a heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is His reward,” Psalm 127:3.
    Throughout most of human history, when a Godly woman could not have a child, she went to the Lord in fervent prayer, 1 Samuel 1:9-11; Matthew 6:6; 7:7-11.  Today, even “Christian” women who can’t have a baby, go running to their doctor or to the “fertility clinic,” totally by passing the Lord.  Is there something wrong with this picture?  You decide! 

Back to the Nephilim

    Satan and his fallen angels do not have the power of procreation inherent within their bodies.  No angel has such power.  But angels do have the power to manipulate created matter.  Therefore when Satan conceived his wicked plan to replace humanity with beings who were not true humans, he knew exactly how to go about carrying it out.  Satan is the father of…..

Genetic Engineering

    Sometime prior, or in close proximity, to the birth of Noah, some of Satan’s angels were sent down to sexually manipulate [rape; have intercourse; cohabit with]the bodies of such wicked women as they chose for themselves, Genesis 6:2, causing those women to ovulate.  Ovulation is when a woman produces an egg in her ovary to be fertilized by the sperm of a man. 
    Once the egg was produced in the bodies of these pre-flood women, the fallen angels were able to unite cells from their own bodies with the eggs produced by the women.  Today this is called “the cloning process.”  Angels do have bodies, even though their bodies are spiritual bodies, 1 Corinthians 15:44.   By adding their own body cell to the woman’s egg, and then fertilizing the egg with some man’s sperm [probably genetically altered], the woman would become pregnant.  In this way the fallen angels could cause a woman to give birth to a baby [a nephilim] whose body contained the supernatural nature of the extremely wicked fallen angels.   These evil fallen angels were not creating anything.  They were merely manipulating and corrupting the inherent gift of procreation which Almighty God had originally placed within the man and woman whom He had created.  The fallen angels hated God, and were probably delighted to take part in such a Satanic scheme. 
    Folks, take note that the fallen angels were the original practitioners of “genetic engineering.”  Such a practice was evil in the days of Noah, and it is still evil today.  Genetic Engineering is basically a statement claiming that the normal processes inherent in all living things created by God are inferior and need to be “improved” upon by men.  Sic!  God have mercy on such arrogant pride and rebellion against God, and such utter depraved stupidity. 
    The fact is, the Lord God had nothing to do with such “genetic engineering” by the wicked fallen angels, and therefore had nothing to do with the angel/human cross breeds [the nephilim] that were brought into existence by Satan’s cohabitation with wicked pre-flood women.  The clear statements of Scripture make it obvious that the Lord hated the angel/human cross breeds [Nephilim], and determined to destroy them, Genesis 6:5-13.  The Lord recognized such wickedness as an attempt to supplant the human race with beings who were not true humans.  If the Lord had allowed Satan to succeed, then Genesis 3:15 could have never been fulfilled.  The “seed of the woman” would have never been born.  Satan would have saved his wicked “head” from being crushed, and he would have made God out to be a liar for having given a prophecy that He couldn’t fulfill.  But the Lord didn’t allow Satan to succeed.  Praise the Lord!

Forward to the End-time

    By comparing what happened in Genesis 6:1-4 with what is happening today, we can get a better understanding of why certain things are happening. 
    Over the past sixty years [1947-2007] there have been hundreds of reports of both men and women claiming to have had sexual encounters with “spirits,” aliens, UFO’s, and the occupants of UFO’s.  Men and women claim to have been taken aboard UFO’s and sexually assaulted. 
    Men claim to have had sperm manually extracted from their bodies, or to have been forced to have intercourse with some sort of “female” being, thereby leaving their sperm deposited in that creatures body. 
    Women claim to have been forcibly raped, or to have “something” extracted from or implanted within their womb. 
    Many men and women claim to have been “operated on” by UFO occupants. 
    Folks, there have been literally hundreds of such claims made by reputable, sensible, people from every walk of life, and from nearly every nation on earth.  I cannot dismiss all such claims as fantasies, dreams, or outright lies.  Perhaps some of them were such, but then perhaps some were not.  The fact that such claims are in harmony with the Scriptures that plainly state that fallen angels did cohabit with women before the flood, Genesis 6:1-4, leads me to believe that some of these claims are true.  The Lord Jesus Christ Himself plainly stated, “…..as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man,” Matthew 24:37; Luke 17:26.  Then according to the Lord Himself, what occurred prior to the flood is occurring again today. 

In the Nick of Time

    Folks, when the Lord determined to destroy the ancient world with the flood, the whole bloodline of humanity had been contaminated by “genetic engineering” in some way [Bio-chips…?], except for Noah and his family.  “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord,” Genesis 6:8.  With God’s grace comes God’s protection and blessings, 2 Timothy 2:19.  Praise the Lord! 
    But the Lord knew that unless He removed Noah and his family from that extremely wicked pre-flood world at that time, “no flesh would be saved,” Genesis 6:5-8.  So the Lord had Noah and his sons build the Ark.
    No, I don’t know how long it took Noah and his sons to build the Ark.  Maybe it did take 120 years, as some claim, Genesis 6:3.  But maybe it only took 120 days, or even less time.  The theory that pre-flood humans were primitive  and dull witted, as they are usually depicted on TV, in the movies, or in some books, is not supported by the inspired Word of God.  God’s Word actually implies that human technology before the flood was as advanced, or perhaps even more advanced, than man’s technology today, Ecclesiastes 1:9-11; 3:15; Matthew 24:37.  I doubt that building the Ark presented any big problem to Noah, especially since the Lord was directing and helping him, Genesis 6:12-22. 
    As soon as the Ark was finished, Noah and his family entered the Ark and the Lord shut them in, Genesis 7:1-16.  The Lord then brought the judgment flood upon the world, saving Noah and his family just in the nick of time, preserving a remnant of true humans to repopulate the earth after the flood.  Praise the Lord!  Hallelujah!  Glory to God!

A Parallel

    In like manner, the Lord Jesus, when speaking about the “great tribulation” at the end of this age, said, “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened,” Matthew 24:22.
    Folks, the Lord knows that the “genetic engineering” that is going on today is not going to stop when the rapture of God’s people [true believers] occurs.  Genetic Engineering will continue right into and through most of the Tribulation.  And it will become more and more evil.  The next step, already approved by the government of Great Britain, is to produce “embryos” that are half human and half animal [or bird].  Are people really so dense that they actually believe that such “embryos” will never be placed in a womb, human or animal, to bring to birth a creature that is part human and part animal?  Are people really that dense?  God have mercy!
    Yes, “genetic engineering” will continue right on into the Tribulation.  Has it ever occurred to our readers that “genetic engineering” may be involved in “the mark of the beast,” Revelation 13:16-18?  Why else would God specifically state that those who receive the mark of the beast will be eternally tormented in the lake of fire, Revelation 14:9-11?  No chance to regret their decision and change their minds.  No opportunity to repent.  Why not?  Is it possible that receiving the mark “genetically alters” the person, so that they henceforth will be totally committed to do evil?  Think about it! 
    The real spiritual danger during the Tribulation may very well be the “genetic engineering” carried on by wicked men under the influence of Satan and his angels and demons.  If Satan could destroy true humanity from the earth during the Tribulation, and replace them with beings who are not true humans, then there would be no true humanity left to enter the promised Millennial Kingdom of the Lord.  Satan would then have made the Lord out to be a liar unable to fulfill His Word, and would, in effect, dethrone God from His position of Omnipotence, thereby saving his own wicked neck from eternal condemnation in the lake of fire, Revelation 20:10. 
    But once again the Lord is not going to allow Satan to succeed.  As the Lord delivered Noah and his family just “in the nick of time,” so the Lord is going to bring the Tribulation to an end at just the right time to save a remnant of humanity to repopulate the earth after the Tribulation and during the Lord’s great Millennial Kingdom.  Glory!
    Talk about “cliff hangers.”  Wow! 
    What a great and gracious God we serve.  What a wonderful Savior is our Lord.  Praise the Lord!  Glory to God!  Hallelujah!  What a privilege it is to be “a child of the King.”  Glory!  Glory!  Glory!
