Hey John, Doves,Preface to the 444 explanation:
As some of you know, I have a different take on Jewish months than most people.
However to make a long story short, let's just say that I have a calendar of
months that goes out to about 2037 or so. These months are based on the new
moon actually starting at the Molad (black moon, also means new birth - sort of
like conception, if you will).To determine the first month (Nisan) of any given year, I use the exact time of
the Vernal Equinox (About March 21st). So if the new moon (exact ttime of the
Molad) occurs on or after the Vernal Equinox, in Jerusalem (day=sunset to
sunset), then that becomes the first month (Nisan). If after the 12th month,
the new moon (Molad again) lands before the V.E. then it becomes the 13th month
(Adar II), and the next month is Nisan.
...........Ok, so with all that background to confound and confuse people, let's get back
to the whole 444 thing.Here it is.....are you ready....?
4 = decades (10 year periods)
4 = months
4 = daysNote - There are no weeks because 4 weeks would be a month.
You add that to June 7, 1967 and you get October 11, 2007 = Tishri 1 (Feast of
Trumpets) according to the explanation listed above.Just wanted to add this to the pile.
