"Don't Be Discouraged"

43 "But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.44 "For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.

Matt 24:43-44 (NASB)

I wanted to follow-up on something I posted last Spring. There have been many incredible possible Rapture dates that have come and gone in the past year. The thing is, looking back, it still appears any of them could have been THE DAY. My feeling then and even more so now is that Jesus is ‘crying wolf’ with Satan. If Satan is the head or ‘ruler’ of the house (the house being this world), he would see Jesus as a thief sneaking in to steal his ‘possessions (i.e. us). If he knew when Jesus was coming, he’d take steps to guard against it. I think Satan has the power to interfere with the Rapture, but as he’s not omniscient or omnipresent, he has to marshal his forces EVERY time it appears Jesus may come. That’s why these dates had to be totally plausible. This is also why we can’t know the hour because if we knew, Satan would also. It’s not that Jesus doesn’t want US to know, He doesn’t want the enemy to know. By now, hopefully Satan and his army are VERY discouraged and tired of ‘false alarms’ and will be caught completely off guard.

I’m convinced that this is the year and it will be very soon. I think Shelby Corbitt’s vision is right on, along with many other ‘words’ we’ve heard. As for the Apostle Paul’s words that we are children of light not darkness and so we won’t be caught unawares, that’s exactly right. I believe the Holy Spirit will quicken our spirits in a way we’ve never experienced and we will 100% KNOW in an instant that it’s the Rapture when He comes. Those not walking in the Spirit won’t understand even though they may see.

So don’t lose heart. I believe Jesus is going to do Satan like He always does – Satan thinks he’s won until, at the last minute, Jesus snatches it all away and S is left looking at his empty hands. What a day that will be!!
