"Feast of Tabernacles Rapture possibilities…"

Feast of Tabernacles Rapture possibilities…

Premises

1.       I believe that there are multiple raptures, not just one.

2.    These would be potentially in at least 3 groups as laid out in Song of Songs.  Lover (Bridegroom), Beloved (Bride) and Friends (Wedding party).

3.    There are many rapture models of both bride & son/warrior king/prodigal son. (see David & Absalom post)

4.    I too was watching and waiting with my heart for Rosh Hashanah.  One thing did bother me in my study up until this time.  This is that my belief is that the Bridegrooms (in at least 3 groups, Warrior Kings, Mighty Men and the Army) will precede the Bride to make a home and also battle as a sneak attack against Satan in the skies).  For the feasts, men must present themselves, mandatory, in the temple for three feasts:  Feast of Unleavened Bread, Feast of Weeks and the Feast of Tabernacles.  This feast has four animals that it sacrifices:  1 goat (sin), 14 lambs (army), 2 rams (mighty men), and 13 bulls (warrior kings).

5.    This feast marks in Israel the change of seasons.  Winter (tribulation) is to come hereafter.  Israel also receives its rain between November and March (latter rains – necessary rains for the sprouting of new crops – each rapture produces a subsequent crop.  Elijah and Elisha model.  Elisha inherited a double portion of Elijah’s spirit.  Subsequent and larger harvests).  Rain prayer has become connected with this celebration.  This is exactly what Israel needs right now (don’t we all!)

6.    Someone wrote on fivedoves last year that they believed that the feasts may be fulfilled by working from the ends in, similar to how the Menorah is set up, like so:

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7

…I think this is possible, and will continue to study

7.     At sundown the blast of a Shofar from the Temple announced the arrival of the holiday.

8.    They would go to the pool of Siloam with the golden pitcher to retrieve the water and bring it back to the temple mount.  It was at the pool of Siloam where Jesus restored the blind man’s eyesight so that he could see.  After 38 years of blindness (prophetic significance for Israel being made to see).

9.   We are mini-models of Jesus, not him, but as his offspring, we are mini models.  Tabernacles and the palm branches are when Jesus rode into Jerusalem.  If you read below, Absalom came to Jerusalem when the king gave word that he could do so.  So it may be Tabernacles when the prodigals/King’s sons come home.

10. Tabernacles is celebrated for 7 days.  As the 2nd evening approached, the people crowded into the vast outer court of the Temple known as the court of women.  On this occasion a barrier was raised to divide the men from the women.  All night long the temple elders would perform impressive torch dances.

10.                        Soon after the celebration was underway, a group of Levites gathered in the Inner Court in what was known as the Court of the Israelites.  Once formed, the group of Levites moved through the Nicanor Gate to stand at the top of the fifteen steps leading down to the Court of Women.  The sound of temple flutes, trumpets, harps, and other stringed instruments swelled as the Levites sang the fifteen Psalms of Degrees (Psalms 120-134).  With each new Psalm they descended to the next step.  This celebration was repeated every night from the 2nd night to the final night as a prelude to the water drawing the next morning.

11.   On the last day there was much anticipated water pouring.  Jesus said on this day “If anyone thirsts come to me and drink”.  The people argued about who he was after this – Messiah, Prophet, etc.  Maybe it’s on this day that people must decide who Jesus is to them, thus deciding their fate.  Please see the model of the Royal Official and his son which occurs after Jesus talks to the woman at the well about living water, possibly relating it to this Feast.

12. Hoshana Rabbah, the last day of the feast, came to be viewed as the last day on which the judgements meted out by God on Yom Kippur could be reversed (decide who Jesus is and what you must do about it).

13. The feast is also called the Feast of Ingathering.

14. Jesus was transfigured during the Feast of Tabernacles.
