I just thought I'd do a quick calculation for you of when 40 Islamic / lunar years from
six day war will / did fall

This might bamboozle some but if you'll be patient and read carefully it should work out.
You could also find an Islamic calendar online and take a shortcut but one who can figure
out things in their head considers it cheating LOL :-) but it's handy to check your
working

1967 is about 1345 solar years since AD 622 July 16 in the Julian calendar when the
Islamic era began AH 1, first month

Round down to the beginning of the Islamic century - we'll need to find out when the year
AH 1301 began and calculate the New Moon to keep it on track.

13 lunar centuries is approx 1300 solar - (minus) 3x13 years + 13 weeks + 13/2 days +
Gregorian calendar correction
Use the same multiples for any Islamic century

AH 1301 was then approx AD 1883 Nov 2
Calculate New Moon for adjustment
1883 - previous multiple of 19 (1881)= 2
Multiply by 11 = 22

For Gregorian calendar dates since 1582 subtract 1/2 number of centuries since AD1300
(ignore remainder) = 20
Add month = 31
The new moon in any month is a multiple of 30 in this formula
Close to it but it looks as though Oct 31, 1883 was the start of Islamic year AH 1301

66 lunar years = 64 solar years + 2/5 of a month - any multiple of 33 lunar years will
have the same ratios

Add this and you'll find the first day of AH 1367 = AD 1947 Nov 14
Use the New moon formula for Nov 1947 to adjust

Add 18 lunar years  = 18 solar - 6 months -12 - 1.2 days - works for any multiple of 3
lunar years

AH 1385 = May 1, 1965
AH 1387 = 1967 - subtract 11 days per year - April 9

So the third month on the Islamic calendar of AH 1387 was during the Six Day War

When was the third month of AH 1427?

AH 1401 = AD 2022 July 16 - 3x14 + 14 weeks + 14/7 days + Greg correct.
Nov 9-10, 1980 - adjusting for day after New Moon

AH 1425 = 24 lunar years later
2004 Nov 10 - 8 months - 17.6 days
Feb 21, 2004

AH 1427 = 2006 Jan 29 -
Two lunar months later was about Mar 29 this year - something big happened about that time
