"The Magic That Is Jesus"

John,

I have just read your article through and was very impressed. Thanks. It lost me in a couple of places but is much easier to read than Prof. Ian Mallett's articles.

Your article reminded me of FC Payne's book, "The Seal of God. On page 24 he says, in connection with the number 37 and 8 and the gematria of the Greek text -

"
Theotes                        592      37x8x2 Very God
Jesus                            888      37x8x3 Very Man
Christ                           1480    37x8x5 Our Passover
Son of Man                  2960    37x8x10           Son of Man
Total                            5,920   37x8x4x5         The Climax

This last number 5,920 is also the exact total of the phrase in Matthew 25:6, ‘Behold THE BRIDEGROOM cometh, go ye out to meet HIM’.

How can this possibly be coincidence? How can it? Is it not the mind of God at work?

So we can see from the chart above that ‘CHRIST’ is exactly the addition of God and man, and, thus becomes our Passover. 1 Corinthians 5:7 says, ‘For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us.’ Yes, you.

God alone could not be our Passover, for blood had to be shed.

Mere man could not provide the efficacious sacrifice.

But Godhead, 592, clothed upon by flesh and blood, 888, could and did, provide the perfect sacrifice, 1480.

And then note that the title ‘SON OF MAN’ is the exact total of the three previous titles.

Why did Christ continually use this title?

I believe that in that title, as the numerics show, is revealed GOD, MAN, and REDEMPTION complete.

Then what a marvellous climax, 5920, the sum total of it all.

Redemption is complete; we are invited to be ready, the Bride is called out; the Bridegroom, Christ, comes for His Church, the Bride, and we go out to meet Him."

I don't know if any of this adds anything but I'm sending it anyway.

Prior to the above he has about six pages devoted to the number 37, the Word of God.

Greek LOGOS (The Word) = 373. ie 37 both forwards and backwards.

373 is the 74th Prime number and that 74  = 37 x 2. Wow!

Blessings,

Phil.

Thanks, Phil. I find the number 5920, the Greek gematria value of ‘Behold THE BRIDEGROOM cometh, go ye out to meet HIM’ (Matthew 25:6), to be extremely interesting; its mirror number, 295, is the sum of two key rapture numbers: 118 (Hebrew for bosom; Nov 8) and 177 (Hebrew for 'Amen Halleluyah', pointing to hidden prophecy in Ps 106, i.e. 2006).
