Good Lord, NO, you're not alone!!!  It scares the peejabbers out of most people, even most TRUE Christians.  My Mom, for instance.  She is a wonderful sister in Christ, who taught me from the time they adopted me at 2 weeks old, who Yahweh (God) & Yeshua (Jesus) were, how Yahshua died for my sins and was resurrected, etc... even before I was old enough to understand.  She's now a blessed 82, and my precious Daddy is 86.  Read these two when you get a sec, and you will learn MUCH about them:

Anyway, Mama is the typical conservative Southern Baptist, whose Pastor (and she believes EVERYTHING he tells them!) never even pretends to preach on the End Times!!!  Therefore, she doesn't know the first thing about the signs and how to know how close we are to the Rapture!  I mean NOTHING!!!  I have tried to explain the signs of Matthew 24, explaining to her how they would increase with intensity and timing, but she trots out the same old, "But earthquakes and other disasters have been occurring since the beginning of time, and the Rapture hasn't happened yet!" story (the last days scoffers are even true Christians in many cases... Satan's way of taking away our excitement that the time is drawing NEAR!), and wanting to know how I KNOW we are living in the Last Days?  I told her about the fig tree being indicative of Israel, and how the end times clock couldn't possibly begin ticking again until Israel became a nation in 1948, and how J'lem needed to be back in Jewish hands which happened in 1967, and how Yahshua promised that the generation that saw these things happen would not pass away until ALL these things take place... and ALL these things include 7 years of Tribulation as well!!!  She was like, "Well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see."  I could have screamed!!!  And I have very few friends (not counting email friends) who can even discuss them with me, because few are as excited as I am about the end times coming to pass, enough to study about them!!!  Blows me away how it could NOT interest a Christian!!!???

The Spirit even led me to use a graphic I found of "The Parable of the Ten Virgins" for the border, as well as to write a poem about it (also linked on that page)!!!  Do you think He was trying to tell us something???  <smiles>
