John assigns the future world dictator a unique title — "antichrist" — found nowhere else in Scripture...

 

In the book of Revelation, however, John does not use the term "antichrist." Instead, he references Daniel’s view of this man by describing a "beast," with "ten horns," and a "mouth speaking great things" (Rev. 13:1-5). Why did John use the title "antichrist" in two of his epistles — one written before the Apocalypse and the other written after — but not in the book of Revelation, itself?
