"EXPOSING THE GAP BETWEEN MATTHEW 24:2 AND 3"

SETTING AN INTERPRETATION IN A ‘CORRECT LIGHT’

                                                                                EXPOSING THE GAP

There is a ‘gap in time’ between Matthew 24:2 and 3 in the ‘Olivet Discourse’ that undiscerning ‘prophecy writers’ have made errors on that have festered many ‘false doctrines’ that they cannot retract on.

Yes, Yeshua was referring to the destruction of the Jewish temple by the Romans in 70 AD in Matthew 24:1-2 while He and his disciples were departing the temple complex as He showed them ALL the buildings of the temple, that would be thrown down, he also said "There shall be not left here one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down."

Then in Matthew 24:3, sometime LATER IN THE DAY, after leaving the temple complex, they came down and sat upon the mount of Olives and the disciples asked Yeshua specifically about the end of the world saying, "Tell us, when shall these things be, and what shall be the sign of your coming, and of THE END OF THE WORLD?"

The remainder of Matthew 24:4-51, is in answer TO THIS SINGLE QUESTION put to Yeshua in Matthew 24:3, concerning the end of the world.

Therefore we can call Matthew 24:4-51, the ‘end of the world section’, NOT LUMPING IT TOGETHER with Matthew 24:1-2, the ‘departing and showing section’, but keeping it separate unto itself till the end of ‘the age’ period of history.

In Matthew 24:34, Yeshua said, “This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." Yeshua was not referring to the generation of his time, but A GENERATION IN THE FUTURE, that would witness all the signs mentioned by Him. That same generation would also witness the arrival of the Kingdom of God.

Now let’s look at Matthew 24:15-22, as follows:

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand :) 16 Then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains: 17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19 And woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days! 20 But pray ye that your flight is not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: 21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened - Matthew 24:15-22

KEEPING THE MATTHEW 24:2-3 ‘GAP’ HIDDEN

Those who think the above verses are referring to the Roman ‘desolation of the Jewish temple’ in 70 AD have BEEN DUPED BY today’s prophetic interpretations. They were hatched in the 70’s and have taken believers so far off base that they have become blinded by them.

Are these writers PUTTING THEIR FOLLOWERS IN JEOPARDY by having them partake with those “loving and practicing lying” in Revelation 22:15! If not their followers, they then should REPENT or be very concerned about getting inside the “city gates’!

Are the followers really blinded or are the ‘book sellers’ protecting doctrines by keeping their interpretation INCORRECT, so as to keep “the gap” between Matthew 2 and 3 HIDDEN, so their “seventy week scenario” WILL FIT.

Instead of using the true text, Daniel 11:31, they RELY ON ‘THE FAKE’ Daniel 9:26-27 text as the ‘abomination of desolation’ so the ‘antichrist’ can confirm a covenant in the “midst of the week” that Yeshua has already confirmed!! Assigning works of Yeshua to the antichrist, I believe, will keep any person outside the “city gates” of Revelation 22:15?

WAITING TILL DOOMSDAY FOR A ‘REBUILT TEMPLE’

The abomination of desolation IS NOT the desecration of a rebuilt Jewish temple. This temple will not be rebuilt because Jerusalem will be given over to the Gentiles, (Rev. 11:2), who will then desolate it, “armed forces” will come upon orders from the antichrist. Daniel 11:31

Any attempt to rebuild the Jewish temple WOULD NOT BE TOLERATED by the antichrist and would RESULT IN DEATH, does he not come to destroy the Jews!!

Those who are waiting for the rebuilding of the temple WILL CONTINUE WAITING TILL DOOMSDAY. It's just not going to happen before the millennium. Therefore, the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel, and referenced by Yeshua, cannot be the desecration of a rebuilt Jewish temple by the anti-christ.

For this reason Daniel 9:26, CANNOT BE SPEAKING ABOUT the destruction of the Jewish temple in 70 AD, or Yeshua WOULD NOT HAVE mentioned it in the “end of the world section” of questions in Matthew 24:3-51!

It is in the context of answering this LATER QUESTION pertaining to the end of the world that Yeshua then refers to Daniel and the ‘abomination of desolation’ and ‘holy place’, even foreseeing future interpretive problems with them when he said in Matthew 24:15 that “you must read and understand.”

THE TRUE DANIEL TEXT AND WITNESS

Here’s the text Yeshua was quoting out of Daniel 11:31 Armed forces will come at his order and profane the sanctuary and fortress. They will abolish the continual offering and set up the abomination that causes desolation.” (Armies will stop daily prayers at wall and set up a Statue of Zeus or Athena)

A second witness in Daniel is found in Daniel 8:11 Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host [Israeli PM], and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.[tear down western wall] 12 And an host [army] was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practiced, and prospered.

The "desolation" is caused by armies compassing Jerusalem, the abomination of desolation standing in the “HOLY PLACE” are these same compassing armies that will stand in the Kotel plaza area at the western wall and place a statue as a symbol of their cause which makes for the desolation of Jerusalem by warfare.

The "holy place" is the geographic location of the Kotel plaza where the western wall stands. It is in fact a sacred place for Jews and fits the definition of a holy place because daily prayers are continually lifted up to the throne room of God every evening, morning and at mid-day!

It is because the temple WILL NOT BE REBUILT that Daniel and Yeshua use the words "holy place" and "sanctuary" and not "holy temple". The abomination of desolation will take place in the western wall Kotel plaza area and has NOTHING TO DO WITH a rebuilt Jewish Temple.

THE DAYS WEREN’T SHORTENED IN 70 AD

In Matthew 24:15-22, Yeshua is definitely referring to the end times. 70 AD was NOT A PERIOD OF TIME with the most unprecedented tribulation in the history of the world, when the “days were shortened” so all flesh would remain alive!

He was talking about the desolation of Jerusalem in the final days before the end of the world, when the days will be shortened as Iran, North Korea and Russia unleash their nuclear arsenal, or no flesh would remain alive.

                                                          A MAJOR CLUE GIVEN

Luke 21:20-22 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter there into. For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

Luke 21:20 gives us a major clue as to the exact meaning of the “abomination of desolation” mentioned in Matthew 24:15-18 and Mark 13:14-16. "And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh".

The armies compassing Jerusalem as mentioned by Yeshua in Luke 21:20-24, are not the armies of Israel. "Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the gentiles." This clearly indicates that the compassing armies are non-Jewish. "And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations." This is indicating a hostile capture and occupation of Jerusalem by non-Jewish armies.

IT DID NOT HAPPEN IN 70 AD

Luke 21:23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. 24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles (Rev. 11:2), until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws nigh."

THERE CAN BE NO MISTAKE in the words of Yeshua above. We are talking about the end times, and the second coming. The “abomination of desolation” is connected to the final days before the arrival of the Kingdom of God, and the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory."

THIS DID NOT HAPPEN IN 70 AD. Therefore, Yeshua is talking about a time that is yet to come, just prior to the arrival of the Kingdom of God. Jerusalem will be given over to the Gentiles (Rev. 11:2), who will then desolate it, just as Yeshua foretold, and it will be as a final sign of His coming, and of the arrival of the Kingdom of God.

LET’S NOT FORGET THE ‘VERSE BEFORE’ MATTHEW 24:14

Yeshua predicted these events would happen at a time when the gospel of the Kingdom would be preached in the entire world to every nation - Matthew 24:14. The gospel of the Kingdom is the gospel of Yeshua.

The Bible wasn't printed until the invention of the printing press in the 15th century. Before then Bibles were hand written, coveted by few and unavailable to the masses and very expensive.

It wasn't until the end of the 20th century, when the Bible was translated into all languages and printed and published throughout the world, that the Gospel of the Kingdom could be preached to all the nations. Therefore, the ‘ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION’ will happen at the end of the world.
