"To "RWAL" Re: South Dakota"

Dear RWAL:

Great to hear from South Dakota.  I was stationed there in the Air Force
1963-1966, lived both in Rapid City and at Ellsworth AFB.  I was the
commander of one of the first Minuteman ICBM missile crews.

My youngest son was born in the Ellsworth AFB hospital on August 23, 1964.

I used to enjoy fishing and hiking in the Black Hills.  I once hiked up
Bear Butte, which was taller than I thought.

I went pheasant hunting once and did not know what I was doing.  I shot a
poor rabbit, and a bird of the wrong and illegal gender, I learned later!

Thanks for the memories.

God bless you,

Jim
