"Interesting witnessing experience"

Dear friends:

While traveling I-95 northbound recently I had an interesting witnessing experience and a divine encounter.

We pulled off on an exit to stop for the night.  We then pulled into a Holiday Inn, where I went in to register.

The young black man at the counter was checking the available rooms for me when I noticed his right hand was bandaged, bloody and swollen.  His name tag said, “Jeremy.”

I asked, “Jeremy, what happened?”

He acted a little embarrassed, then sheepishly remarked to his co-worker, “I guess I might as well tell him.”  He then responded to my question, saying, “I got into a fight.”

I jokingly asked, “Who won?”

He said he and his girl friend had been attacked by seven guys, and he fought them off.

I said, “Wow, you are blessed that you didn’t get shot.”  He replied that one of the guys had, in fact, drawn a gun.

I replied, “Man, that’s dangerous. You could have been killed.”  I sensed an opening and added, “You really need Jesus.  Do you know Him?”

He said, “That’s what my girlfriend says.  She keeps trying to get me to go to church.”

I said, “You should listen to what she says.  You need to give your life to Jesus.  What’s holding you back?”

He then made an interesting statement, “I have studied all the religions, and that clutters your mind.”

I thought to myself, that’s for sure.  The study of “religions” will clutter one’s mind.  He needs Jesus, not religions.

So I audaciously replied, “Well, I am going to un-clutter it.” Then I added, “Do you like to read?”

He said, “Yes, I read all the time.”  I told him I was going to give him a copy of my new book, just off the press, The Top Ten Mysteries of the Bible. The book contains important facts, proving that the Bible is God’s Word and that Jesus is who He said He is, and the only way.  He promised to read it.

After I went to the room and got my things out of the car, I took a copy of the new book, inscribed it by saying, “Give it up, Jeremy, you belong to Jesus.”  I then prophesied: “You will become a great man of God.”  I then signed it.

I took the book back to the desk, handed it to him and said, “Tell your girlfriend that the answer to her prayers checked into this hotel tonight.”

He thanked me and smiled, but obviously didn’t know how to handle my boldness in the Spirit.  He had not encountered that, or the Holy Spirit, in his study of “religions.”

I will not see Jeremy this side of heaven, but by faith I know I will see him there.  Thank you, Jesus!  Please pray for him

The new book I referred to is hot, and a great witnessing tool.  The primary purpose of the book is evangelistic, and the contents are persuasive.  But Christians will also enjoy and be blessed by this book, which is jam-packed with fascinating information most Christians do not know.  It will build them up in the faith.

The book will be officially released to the public on October 9 and then available through bookstores and online sources, but pre-release copies are now available from the publisher at http://www.publishamerica.com .  (In search, enter “James Bramlett.”)  Proceeds go to support this ministry.
