There is a really good Christian book that Bruce Wilkinson wrote a couple of years ago titled  "A life God Rewards ". It opened my eyes to what is really important in this life and what is not. Bruce points out that everything we do in this life we are living now will matter forever in Eternity. I would love to share with all you Doves the high points of his book. The key scripture verse used in this book is Matthew 16 :27 - " for the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works "
 
Jesus is telling us that the consequences in heaven for certain actions you do on earth will be so wonderful that simply knowing they are coming - and knowing that they will be great - can transform how we live now. Matthew 16:27 says : " He will reward each according to his works " .  Matthew 19:21 says " you will have treasure in heaven " . And Luke 14:14 says " you will be blessed - for you shall be repaid at the resurrection ". As you are about to discover, the implications of these scripture verses are enormous. For one thing - they suggest that God is keeping track of what you do for Him every day. For another, that you have more to gain by serving Him that you ever imagined
 
The teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ show us that there are two keys that determine everything about your eternity. The first key is your belief. This key unlocks the door to eternal life and determines where you will spend eternity. The second key is your behavior. It unlocks the door to eternal rewards and determines how you will spend eternity
 
There are six main events of every persons earthly life. One is your life , you were created in the image of God for a life of purpose. Two is everyone will die physically one day ( unless the rapture happens first ) but you will not die spiritually. Three is your Eternal Destination which is decided by whether you believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior while you were alive. Four is the Resurrection where you will receive an eternal body. Five is Repayment where you receive your reward or your retribution for eternity based on what you did with your life on earth. Although your eternal destination is based on your belief, how you spend eternity is based on your behavior while on earth. Believers will be judged by Jesus at the Bema Judgement Seat of Christ, Nonbelievers will be judged at the Great White Throne. The outcome will determine your degree of reward in heaven or retribution in hell. And Six is Eternity, where you will either live forever in the presence or abs! ence of God, reaping the consequences of your beliefs and actions on earth
 
so very clearly, your future in Heaven as a believer holds great promise for fulfillment and reward - if you make certain choices now. Your eternal compensation can be great in heaven, if you decide to serve God today. Being that many Christains today believe that Jesus Christ is coming very soon, it would be a wise choice to start earning Eternal Rewards now, because you may be standing before Jesus tomorrow giving a accounting of your life and what you did with it to further the Kingdom of God !!!
