In 2005 a Christian book came out called the " Barbarian Way " . The author of this book calls all believers in Jesus Christ to return to the ancient, primal, and dangerous faith of Jesus and His early disciples. Let go of a sanitized Christianity and get back to the powerful, raw, and ancient faith that chooses revolution over compromise, peril over safety, and passion over lukewarm and watered-down religion
 
 Two thousand years after Jesus walked the earth, the call to follow Christ has been repackaged to be smooth and trouble-free, filled with opportunity and promise but lacking risk, passion and  sacrifice. Is this really what our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ died for ? If He chose the way of the cross, where would He hesitate leading us ? Is it possible that to follow Jesus is to choose the Barbarian Way ?
 
 Jesus never made a pristine call to a proper or safe religion. Jesus beckons His followers today to a path that is far from the easy road. It is a path filled with adventure, uncertainity, and
 unlimited possibilities - the only path that can fulfill the deepest longings and desires of your heart.  If you are a follower of Christ, then you are called to fight for the heart of your King. It is a life fueled by passion - a passion for God and a passion for taking the salvation message to the lost. Perhaps the tragedy of our time is that such an overwhelming number of us who declare Jesus as Lord have become domesticated - or, if you will , civilized. We have lost the simplicity of our early faith. Beyond that, we have lost the passion and power of that raw, untamed,  primal faith
 
 The Barbarian Way is about love, intimacy, passion and sacrifice. Barbarians love to live, and
 live to love. For them God is life, and their mission is to reconnect humanity to Him. Their passion is that each of us might live in intimate communion with Jesus Christ who died for us. Barbarians are not welcome among the civilized and are feared among the domesticated. The way of Jesus is far too savage for their sensibilities. Jesus did not suffer and die so that we could build for ourselves a comfortable life, but so that we might expand His Kingdom by sharing the Salvation Message of Jesus Christ, meaning we have to get out of our comfort zones and take a risk for  Jesus. Risking everything for Jesus is the Barbarian Way
 
 Jesus is calling you to fight for the heart of your King. For some believers, doing this will just be way to barbaric. But for others, their only option will be to choose the Barbarian Way. It is time once again to hear the Barbarian Call, to unleash a revolt , to take the name of Jesus Christ to your friends, neighbors, family members, your town, your city , everywhere you go. Are you ready to leave the easy, no risk, modern Christian life and pick up your cross and follow Jesus where-ever He chooses to send you ?  Jesus is waiting for your answer , time is short
