November 7 - Midterm elections will be held in the United States.
November 8 - A transit of Mercury will occur beginning at 19:12
                         UTC.

The eyes of the world will obviously be on the very heated USA midterm
elections.  The elections are the 7th and much debate and contention will be
present, as usual, the day afterwards on 11-8-2006 with little or no thought of
anything else.

Additionally - there were 118 Non Aligned Nations represented in Cuba just
before the current UN Session began.

Thought you might like to know what will have the world 'occupied' on these
two days.
