Here is what I think will happen:  Bush has too much to lose, and our military is already stretched the max, for Bush to do the dirty work here.  But I suspect that he has already given Israel the green light to do a targeted assault on the nuclear power sites.  Israel has LOTS to lose if they don't do anything.......and really nothing to lose if they make the strike.  The world already hates Israel, no matter what they do or don't do......so world opinion should be much of a factor.
 
Clearly, Iran does not become nuked to oblivion, because they are alive and well enough to lead the invasion with Magog.  The war of Ezekiel 38/39 may well be in response to Israel's taking a pre-emptive strike on Iran's nuclear power and uranium enrichment sites.  Russia will feel justified in coming to Iran's aid against Israel.
 
I think, fasten your seatbelts, because there is more trouble to come in the next month or two, I suspect.
