"New Moon Sighted--Biblical Rosh Hashanah Sept. 25"

Dear Readers,

I sent a letter out late last night about the new moon sighting which may not have been clear and was misunderstood by some. I said the new moon would be sighted on the evening of September 24th in Jerusalem, which it was (see below). This means the biblical Rosh Hashanah began at sundown and continues for 48 hours. I simply mentioned the time it began in Eastern and Pacific Time (and it was not an end time, but a beginning). Presently Israel is just past "Cock's Crow" and will soon enter daytime. My personal feeling (for what it is worth) is that it may occur at noon in Jerusalem. This is actually at 1pm due to Daylight Savings Time. This would convert to 6am Eastern and 3am Pacific Daylight Time (9/25). Of course all options are on the table.

This delay actually results in the moon and sun being in the same positions described in Revelation 12:1-2.

The two day delay may also have some significance with Hosea 6:2 and the importance of the third day in Scripture.

In Christ,
Daniel Matson
