THE MYSTERIOUS TIMING OF MEL-CHIZ'E-DEK AND THE DAY OF THE LORD PART FOURhttp://www.fivedoves.com/letters/aug2006/bobd831.htm
In the first 3 parts at times I repeated myself just a little so the reader would understand this amazing progression of Mel-chiz'e-dek and how and when it relates to our Returning King and Priest Jesus Christ Himself.I would at this point just like to get into the meat of what I am trying to portray.May the Lord bless you through this study of hope only verifying the structure of the Bible having it's origin from a Devine author. There is just no possible way that a human or a group of persons could have designed this in the way the Word of God was structured If you desire a little background the link for my previous article is at the top.
And blessed be the Most High God,hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.Genesis 14:20. In this verse the Most High God is being blessed. He has (past tense) delivered his enemies into His hand. Abram is "then" pictured giving tithes of all to Mel-chiz'e-dek.Think about this verse. It is in chapter 14 (Deliverance or Salvation) and verse 20 (Redemption). I really believe we can understand a chapter and verse to full comprehension if we look at the numbers. What chapter number is this under? What verse number is it in? This is how exact God is regarding His Living Word. This Bible study method must be taken in it's proper context otherwise we will be all over the place.Obviously this particular verse is talking about Mel-chiz'e-dek (Jesus Christ) being revealed as the Most High God after He rescues Israel at the battle of Armageddon. The verse specifically says that His enemies have been delivered into His hand. This is exactly what Revelation Chapter 19 says. Then Abram is pictured giving Mel-chiz'e-dek tithes.Zechariah 14:16 talks about the people of the Nations giving homage to Jesus Christ in Je-ru'sa-lem once a year in compliance to the feast of tabernacles. At this point there are no more animal sacrifices. That was the Old Testament. Jesus Christ became the all sufficient atoning Sacrifice for our sins in the New Testament and in the Millennium people will give respect and worship to Jesus Christ through gifts just as the last phase of Genesis chapter 14:20 suggests... "And he gave him tithes of all." The progression is perfect from Genesis 14:18-20. Verse twenty certainly pictures Mel-chiz'e-dek as a Deliverer (chapter 14) and Redeemer (verse 20).
Some people may be asking why do you believe Mel-chiz'e-dek was Jesus Christ Himself? That is a very good question. Some Rabbinical writings claim that Mel-chiz'e-dek was Shem the Son of Noah. There is one obvious problem with this conclusion. If this was the case why was Shem's name changed to Mel-chiz'e-dek? Who changed his name? This to me has no basis of truth. The Arabic Catena has it's own story to tell. I'm not even sure what they were trying to say by reading their rendition.I think they were trying to say Mel-chiz'e-dek had a genealogy of Heraclin,Peleg and Eler. They have his mother's name being Salathiel who was the daughter of Gomer. One problem with this is it goes directly against what the Bible teaches. One book disputes what these commentaries say and that would be the book of Hebrews. Mel-chiz'e-dek is spelled different in the Book of Hebrews (Mel-chis'e dec).Remember the "Hebrews" version in the 66 Books of the Bible was in Greek. This may account for the difference in spelling. I find it very interesting that Mel-chiz'e-dek is specifically spoken of in Hebrews chapters 5-7. Grace (5) to spiritual perfection (7).If the ancient Jewish commentaries are correct why does Hebrews 7:3 say "Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like the Son of God; abideth a priest continually."I am not dogmatic but I tend to believe Mel-chiz'e-dek was Jesus Christ Himself. To me this is a clue to the Watchers (those in the Body of Christ; the Church) looking for the Rapture. Remember Mel-chiz'e-dek is spoken of in Psalm 110:4. It is also obvious to me that this will be a clue for not only the 144,000 Jews of the twelve tribes of Israel but it may even spread farther than this group.I think it is interesting that this verse is in Hebrews 7:3.Seven (Spiritual Perfection) and three (Divine Completion). It is hard for a verse to be couched in a more perfect combination of numbers.Could this be another clue the Mel-chiz-e'dek was Jesus Christ Himself?
The book of Hebrews is the Nineteenth Book of the New Testament.I will go back to this fact in just a moment.I am not an expert on what I am about to say but I understand the basic subtext. There are 27 books in the New Testament. These books are broken down into three sections of nine. Before I briefly talk about this let me say every book revolves around The Person of Jesus Christ so that is who I look for regardless as to what part of the Bible I am reading. The first Nine books of the New Testament Matthew to Galatians start with a Jewish tone describing Jesus Christ as King of the Jews and ending with Galatians which is a dispute over the law and Grace.Ephesians to Philemon is specifically talking to the Church that deals with issues that the body of Christ needs to know and understand.I think it is very interesting that Philemon the ninth book of the second section symbolizing the end of the Age of Grace has overtures of the Rapture of the Church especially in verse 15.Take a guess what book is after Philemon? Hebrews the 19th book of the New Testament.Clement who was an early church historian apparently said that Paul wrote the book of Hebrews in the language of Hebrew.Get it-Hebrew to Hebrews. This is a Jewish book. Luke translated the Hebrew version into Greek; however, this is one of the books in the New Testament that is not signed (no author). I believe God instructed Luke to leave this authorship blank. It's supposed to be a mystery just like Psalm 110 (Mel-chiz'e-dek) has been noted as the mystery Psalm for years.I believe the fact that no author signed the Greek Version of the Book of Hebrews will hold more credibility for the Jewish people in the Tribulation Period. The Hebrew version has never been found but I believe it could be discovered after the Rapture of the Church.Hebrews is the 19th Book of the New Testament. Ten (ordinal perfection) plus nine (judgment) is exactly where the Jewish people will be after the Rapture. 10+9=19. Israel will be under God's judgment (9) but they will be looking for God's true law (10; ordinal perfection).Nineteen is the number of faith. The book of Hebrews will give the Jewish people especially the 144,000 of the Twelve Tribes of Israel faith because it is written from a Jewish perspective. The mystery of Mel-chiz'e-dek will be revealed and His name is Jesus Christ. The last section of Nine (Hebrews to Revelation) goes back to a Jewish tone. Once again I am not saying we as Christians should not read these Books-we should.I am saying we have to understand the context and background of the Books of the Bible so the Holy Spirit can give us greater illumination of His Word.
I have never formally studied the subject but it just seems to me that each letter of the Hebrew alphabet corresponds to each theme of the 27 books.Of course relative to this subject I am talking about Mel-chiz'e-dek.I will deal with this subject relative to the last Nine Books of the New Testament briefly because each year of the 7 year Tribulation Period (in order) is described from James to Jude. Hebrews starts the last section of nine and the Book of Revelation is the grand finale. To just divert for a moment the last book in the second section is Philemon. This book not only prophetically depicts the Rapture of the Church but it matches the Hebrew letter Tzaddi which means righteous; kneeling as in standing as in, used at the end of a sentence. It is very interesting to me that this letter is used at the end of a sentence.Overtures of the end of the Church Age. The next book is Hebrews and the Hebrew Word that matches this book is Koph. Holiness;cycles of growth;summary and judgment at the end of the cycle of life.To me this just sounds to be the place in life where the 144,000 Jews will be after the Rapture of the Church. It's amazing to me that Mel-chiz'e-dek is mentioned in His Priestly and Kingship form in Genesis and also in the book of Hebrews. This book explains in vivid detail the role Jesus Christ will have in His full stature of this Majestic Rule and Reign. If you don't understand what I just said you will never understand the timing of where the Book of Hebrews is juxtapostioned. Mel-chiz'e-dek (Jesus Christ) the Priest, the King of the Jews,Israel's true Messiah. Israel is looking for their Priest and King so the book of Hebrews will be a pivotal discovery for the 144,000 Jews from the twelve tribes of Israel. They will be drawn to place their faith in Y'shua Jesus Christ. I believe Mel-chiz'e-dek is Jesus Christ and they will be smart enough to piece this truth together. The 144,000 Jews will have a very big role to play according to the Book of Revelation and it will start the beginning of the Tribulation Period.I will even show you implications in the New Testament that verify their call of God at the beginning of the Day of the Lord.
Maybe you are not convinced.Prophecy in the News discovered something in the Bible years ago.The next book after the book of Hebrews is James. The book before The Revelation is Jude. James prophetically describes the first year of the Tribulation Period,1 Peter the second,11 Peter the third,1 John the forth, 11 John the fifth,111 John the sixth, and the book of Jude the seventh. This is true and I am going show you but I still find it amazing that the book of Hebrews and Revelation are at the Beginning and End.
The book of James starts the structure of the first year of the 7 year Tribulation. It corresponds to the Hebrew letter Resh. This Hebrew form means wickedness;the wicked. After the Rapture only the unregenerate or the wicked will be present on planet Earth. To briefly explain due to time and space in James 1:1 the Bible says "James a servant of God and of the Lord Je'sus Christ,to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad greeting." Here the 12 tribes are mentioned. They will be gathered in the first year of the Tribulation Period. It is also interesting to me that James talks about hard tribulations and rejoicing after the greeting. Does this not sound like the Day of the Lord? The twelve tribes will "fall into divers temptations." In James 5:1-2 "Go to now,ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you (2) your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. (3) Your gold and silver is cankered: and the rust of them shall be a witness against you,and shall your flesh as it were fire.Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days." This verse corresponds with the first year of the Tribulation as the financial crash takes place on Planet Earth. The black horse in Revelation chapter 6:5-6 explains the financial ruin in the Day of the Lord. E-li'jah is even mentioned in James 5:17. He is one of the two witnesses.I believe based on this model the two witnesses arrive in the first year.To move along it has long been said that Peter had Jewish Believers in mind. In 11 Peter 2:9 the unjust are punished in the day of judgment and he also mentions the Day of the Lord in 11 Peter 3:10-12. The fourth book (the servant candle) out of 7 says "Little children,it is the last time: and ye may have heard that Antichrist shall come... which tells me that this is the point where the Antichrist is revealed in the strength of his earthy power. This verse is found in 1 John 2:18. John also mentions the spirit of Antichrist in 1 John 2:22 and 1 John 4:3. Obviously Jesus Christ who takes His Great Power and begins to Reign at this time is greater than the Antichrist but John is describing this from a human power backdrop which this man of Satan will have.In 11 John he writes to "the elect lady and her children." 11 John 1:1,at the end of the letter "the children of thy elect sister, greet thee Amen."11 John 1:13. The elect lady is Israel as mentioned in Revelation Chapter 12 and the elect sister could be prophetically referring to the Gentile Believers. At this point they have already fled into the wilderness (Petra) and God is given them comfort. In 111 John the sixth book corresponding to the sixth year of the Tribulation Period there is a promise of a face to face greeting. At this point the Remnant in Petra will long for this. In the Book of Jude the seventh book describing the 7th year says in Jude 1:14..."Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of His Saints." This is when Jesus Christ rescues Israel at the climax of the battle of Armageddon. This happens in the seventh year.
I know there was a lot that I covered but all of this starts with the book of Hebrews which explains the mystery of Mel-chiz'e-dek.Then the Books move in to the heart of the Day of the Lord (James through Jude) and the Book of Revelation speaks of the Church Age,the Rapture, our Worship experience in Heaven, the Day of the Lord and Mel-chiz'e-dek at the very least a type of Jesus Christ's Priesthood are progressively talked about just like the Prophetic implication in the Book of Genesis Chapters 11-15.The model which goes from the Age of Grace to the Millennium.I know I only went from Genesis 11-14 but sure enough Chapter 15 has overtones of the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ. The model is exact, precise and chronological. In part 5 I will explain why Mel-chiz'e-dek is mentioned in Psalm 110:4 relative to the timing of the Rapture and Day of the Lord without setting an exact date. There is no doubt in my mind that this is the Servant Candle Psalm in a series of seven. The Church is obviously very close to their departure. The Blessed Hope surely will be a Glorious event. If you are not a believer it would be wise to pray the sinner's prayer by simply acknowledging you are a sinner and sincerely accepting Jesus Christ into your heart. He died for humanity on a cross and Rose from the dead on the Third Day.Coming to know the Messiah Jesus Christ as Savior is a delightful New Birth.Praying you will make that eternal decision. Joyfully looking forward to meeting everyone in Heaven after the Rapture. If you desire to read Part 5 it will be in print tomorrow explaining why we are so close to these things at hand.
