I've been a reader for several years, never posted, but has anyone noticed this?
I used infoplease.com (Almanac)for the numbers:
Israels  Population:   6,276,883  (2005, est.)
Gaza(settlers)          7,000         (est.)
Ratio: .0011

US   Population:       295,734,134
New Orleans:          469,032
Ratio:  .0015
Isn't that one tenth of one percent, for both??!!

If rounded (and the numbers aren't exactly current), the relative displacement of settlers is the same as New Orleans Hurricane victims.
