With Katrina having gone after a little of the U.S. oil infrastructure, and now Rita bearing down on even more of this infrastructure, evangelist A.A. Allen's 1954 vision takes on amazing significance!  If you are not familiar with this famous vision, simply go to google.com and type in "A.A. Allen vision".  The vision will come up immediately, and then read it!  As a teacher of End Time Bible prophecy for the past 25 years, I have often taught on this vision in my classes.  But there was one thing that always bothered me about the vision, which only now is beginning to make sense.
 
In the vision A.A. Allen sees the Statue of Liberty, and the Lord reaches down and removes the torch from the statue's hand, replacing it with a bowl containing a very sharp sword.  The Lord then tells the Statue of Liberty to drink the contents of the bowl, but the Statue of Liberty says, "I will not drink!" in defiance.  The Lord then forces the Statue of Liberty to drink the contents of the bowl (a sharp sword).  Immediately the Statue of Liberty begins to sway, and then falls over in the water.  It eventually dies with the water lapping over it.  Now here is the most interesting part!  The Statue of Liberty in the vision is not in New York harbor where it should be, but rather THE STATUE OF LIBERTY IS STANDING IN THE WATERS OF THE GULF OF MEXICO!!!!!!  WOW!
 
After the Statue of Liberty is lying dead in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico, sirens ring out over America, and interceptors (missiles, perhaps planes too) rise to meet an approaching enemy.  Unfortunately the interceptors fall back to the ground, unable to do their job.  Then, coming from the Atlantic and the Pacific missiles rise from the ocean, arch high in the air, and then rain down upon America.  A.A. Allen describes the explosions occurring all over America as being nuclear, and millions across America are screaming in anguish.
 
One cannot wonder if the damage to the oil infrastructure in the gulf region (and we will not know probably till this weekend has passed as to how large this damage is) is the beginning of A.A. Allen's vision which he had 51 years ago.  Remember that when he had this vision in 1954, prayer had not yet been thrown out of our schools, and abortion had not yet begun in our land.  60,000 pornographic sites on the internet were not yet even a gleam in a communication scientist's eye!  Yet A.A. Allen was given a vision of God's coming judgment upon America for her wickedness.
 
Here is a theory that I will share with you.  Let's say that after this coming weekend America's oil infrastructure is significantly weakened.  Then let's say that Rosh Hashanah, 2005 turns out to be very significant----the Rapture!  And then in America's time of great weakness (immediately after the Rapture), America's enemies pounce upon her.  Finally, the world turns its attention to the the European Union (the Revived Roman Empire) as America lies "smoldering" from the attack upon her.  The Revived Roman Empire emerges as the world's last Superpower, the antichrist comes forth, and the Daniel 9:27 covenant is made with Israel, beginning the Tribulation Period and 7 year countdown to the Second Coming!
