Who can deny the parallel?
The whole world was able to see the anguish, tears and prayers of the thousands of men, women and children who were forcefully pushed out of their homes in Gaza and northern Samaria by the international pressure, led by the United States and brought to bear on Israel’s government to get them out. All saw them weeping at the destruction of their beautiful, lovingly-built homes, where many had been living for over 20 years. Then came God’s answer, directed at the nation which – of all nations – should have known better. The USA has more than 40 million Bible believing Christians who can all read what the Bible teaches about God’s ultimate plan with His people, how He promises – over and over again – that He, He Himself, would after a long time of dispersion restore them again to their land, all of it, which He promised them as AN EVERLASTING POSSESSION.
God’s answer was shocking in its severity. The same scenes the whole world had been watching just barely a week before were now again before our eyes, this time however not in Israel’s Gush Katif, but in Louisiana’s New Orleans and other parts of the United States: People driven from their homes – put in buses to be brought to hotels or other places of assembling – just as a few days ago, under pressure and to words of praise from President Bush and his Secretary of State, Israelis had been cruelly uprooted from their own homes and livelihood and put on buses. Who can deny the parallel and the finger of God in all this, of Him Who says through His Word that ‘He who touches you, Israel, touches the apple of His Eye’?
What further judgments will be necessary to get the U.S. and other nations to stop this unholy pressure upon God’s own people to relinquish their land and destroy their homes, all for a peace which the Muslim nations never mean to give or to keep? What other catastrophes have to occur before President Bush and his team, once and for all, call off the folly of this two-state policy which – if not stopped – will lead to the economic collapse of the United States, the nation we all are indebted to?
We grieve at this terrible time for that valiant nation which, throughout the years has bailed out so many other nations and people, and yet, by now refusing to listen to God, has brought itself to such a place of calamity.
I pray that the president will change his course before it is too late, before more disasters bring untold destruction to his country.

PS. A friend wrote the following in response to my first article on Katrina:Another – a Jewish man – wrote:
- I believe that the Lord has shown me that this hurricane Katrina was spawned unusually right outside of our borders near the Bahamas (very unusual) and has been brought in answer to the arm-twisting that America has done to God's people in Gaza. And in that America's hand, enjoining those of the EU in pushing this diabolical "road map", has caused approximately 10,000 Jewish people to become essentially homeless, it will not surprise me to see that there will be 10 times that number to become at least temporarily homeless as a result of this storm. Based on the flooding that has occurred, it will take a year or more to rehabilitate homes and businesses that have been destroyed.-
- Part of the problem with our president is that he is a member of a large denomination which in essence is in the "replacement theology" camp. The United Methodists are also battling in their ranks over the ordaining of homosexuals as pastors, as are the Episcopalians, and the Presbyterians. So, there are millions of American Christians who sit under the replacement theology leaders, and simply go on with their lives looking at Israel as just another place on earth, but where Jesus will come back.
- Getting through to our president? You've got to be kidding. Only a sovereign work of the Lord will enable it....and may He grant it soon. I know that LOTS of good bible believing Christians have written, called, emailed, faxed to get his attention on this ungodly matter of the "road map". He will bring America into judgment. G.K
- The timing of the hurricane and the Disengagement was no accident it was by the hand of God. God is speaking loud and clear, but the question is, will President Bush listen? J.G.
