"dream of America"

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

I humbly submit a dream that the Lord gave me about 2 and a 1/2 years ago. It may have been as long ago as 3 years. It wasn't long after 9/11 as I remember. I'm unsure of what it means exactly, but I remember it vividly. I believe that it is a dream of America.

I was standing in a port city. I do not believe that it was New Orleans specifically, just a port city. It wasn't important then where I was. There was an old rusty ship that was docked and my family had entered the ship ahead of me. I was carrying my luggage and walking along side a stewardess toward the door. She was dressed in uniform, ready to set sail. At the door of the building where the ship was docked, I stopped. I was waiting for someone to arrive...I didn't know who, but I felt it was important to wait. The stewardess waited with me. We seemed to be in a hurry.

As a small dark-colored SUV pulled up, I knew that this was the vehicle that I was waiting on. I told the two women inside the vehicle to hurry, hurry. They insisted on finding a parking place first. I yelled that there wasn't any time to waste...the ship was about to leave. The stewardess said that she could wait no longer and went ahead of me. She took my luggage inside with her. When the two women in the SUV pulled away, I decided to go to the ship. I could wait no longer. Those two women were no longer in my dream.

Inside the ship, I made my way to the ticket counter. Just as I was about to purchase a ticket in this old run down ship, I heard the "Star Spangled Banner" being played outside on
the deck. I told the ticket master that I would be back...I told her, "I don't want to miss this." I fought through the crowd out onto the deck. To my left, in the West, in front of a beautiful sunset, there was an American flag that had been "sky written" so close to the ship that you could almost reach out and touch it. It was made of red white and blue smoke and had been literally sky written by an airplane.

When the "Star Spangled Banner" drew to a close, a mighty wind blew through the middle of the flag. The red white and blue smoke that composed the flag was split in the middle and rolled away. The beautiful colorful flag was no more. In my dream, no one seemed to make a fuss over it, but I thought to myself in my dream, "It was as though the breath of God blew straight through that flag." Those were the exact words that popped into my head.

I then looked to the east and saw ominous storm clouds brewing and I began to feel uneasy. Just then, I was getting onto an airplane instead with my family and several others. I was thinking to myself at that time, "Gosh, I hope that this isn't as bad as that was." I don't know what that means, but when I was on the ship, things didn't seem bad...chaotic or anything, just felt all wrong, and I knew in my heart something wasn't right. That was the end of my dream.

I believe that the Lord will bring judgement down like a hammer on this nation if it doesn't repent and stop cursing the Lion of Judah. Perhaps we are past that point in history where repentance will come to pass and only judgment lies ahead. Even so, come Lord Jesus.

Yours in Christ,
