"VeriChip in dead bodies"

The VeriChip people have several chips...

the debit-only chip for the Barcelona bars,
the skin-sensing chip for vital signs [ health records ] , activated by muscle movement,
the non skin- sensing chip for dead bodies;
the global 666 chip for worldwide financial transactions ( yet to be announced).

Our personal belief is that if you take any of the above chips you will wind up with a grievious and noisome sore ......  Rev. 16:2 ..... which is  eventually life-canceling.

I wouldn't risk it for that reason,  besides the eternal - hell reason for the 666 chip. Rev. 14: 9--11.

Since Katrina, the media has been putting out alert bulletins for missing persons. It is good to try and reunite these people. Yet all of this will play into the anxiety-factor that a subdermal ID would quicken the process.
I can't see why. If they can scan your chip, they can also ask who you are.

The chip for Identifying dead people can only be given to them once they are already identified
( without the implanted chip,  from previous dental records etc. ).

If people take the chip ahead of death for such a crisis, they will have willingly taken something that is too risky to take; and they have been fore-warned.

A chip in a dead person is far different than having a chip placed in a live person in case of death. Best not to take any chip at all

Katrina victims get "chipped" -- Sept. 16, 2005
Florida-based VeriChip said it has already implanted radio frequency identification (RFID) tags into 100 corpses in the state for the Mississippi State Department of Health. The company, which is a subsidiary of publicly traded
Applied Digital Solutions, said it is also in talks with Louisiana health authorities, though no agreement has been reached....
If the past is any guide, it’s likely that tracking corpses will also raise ethical concerns. For instance,
would the person consent to disclosure of personal information contained in the chip after the death?

On September 19, the company plans to publicly chip a “senior executive” of the investment bank Merriman Curhan Ford in downtown San Francisco

Response Team "DMORT " -- Sept. 16, 2005
The U.S. Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team (DMORT) and health officials in Mississippi's Harrison County are implanting human cadavers with RFID chips from VeriChip in an effort to speed up the process of identifying victims and providing information to families, VeriChip said Friday. In addition, the County Medical Examiner's office in Lafayette County, Miss., said it will stock RFID chips and scanners for future disaster relief. Louisiana is also expected to begin using the system soon, which should help officials cope with the estimated 500 unidentified bodies in the state.
Opponents, however, contend that embedding RFID chips into people will erode civil liberties and privacy.
Several Christian groups also object, asserting the chips violate their beliefs

When relief workers find an unidentified body, they insert a chip and enter information about the location, physical condition and characteristics of the body. Some also take digital photographs. The data is then cross-checked against a database, being compiled, that contains information from families about missing persons in that area.
