Palestinian Authority (PA) leader Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) stated on Friday that he will not recognize any joint sovereignty on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount.

The PA leader told the Israeli Arab Kol el-Arab newspaper, “Settlement blocs are built on occupied lands and illegal entities will not be recognized. Also, regarding Jerusalem, we reject and division of sovereignty regarding our rule of the Temple Mount,”

In the interview, in reference to Israeli Arab citizens, he labeled them, “Palestinians inside,” adding, “they have Israeli citizenship and this is not shameful. They acted properly when they waved the flags of peace and equality.”
