"re Deborah"
Hello John. I think your great and the site is great
and the people who contribute great and God the greatest.

Cary, thanks for the encouragement to the doves, especially Deborah.
John
Hello Deborah. My heart just went out to you when I read
of your plight. What is amazing, is reading of so many peoples desperate
needs and problems that need prayer and sensing a theme running through
them all. I too was wondering why we all had to have it so hard.
A few years ago our family was moved by God to leave
a house we nearly owned, a secure job and a beautiful village near a town
with everything to satisfy all our families needs. We ended up in a remote
part of Ireland surrounded by hostile neighbours (apparently they all still
hate the English) with no amenities to speak of , in a house that was practically
falling down and had constant dirty water (this has changed now to a slightly
better house but still with constantly dirty water) and an existence that
is literally hand to mouth. I have been heard to say jokingly that we're
one step away from being hunter gatherers!! ha ha. I seem to be spending
most of my time contending for the faith by writing letters to people I
briefly meet and correcting them about their approach to the gospel. (the
people who think God is just there to give them all the materialistic things
they could ever dream of, the people in local churches who think Jesus
is not the only way to heaven and believe any way will do so long as it's
'good' and the people who are so eloquent with the word of God but who's
actions and life styles do nothing better than weaken the word.)
I did not ask to do this. I did not think I was
even remotely cut out to do this or know if it has any effect. People are
so keen to ask us why we and the children are so wonderful, good and what
makes us all tick but don't hang around long enough to hear past 'Well,
God is our life....'
I wouldn't change the past few years for anything. We
have been on a steep learning curve and have grown up a lot spiritually
but I had asked God recently why we had to have it so hard? Immediately
He replied 'You are overcomers' I rushed to the bible and Looked up revelations
chapter 3:12 onwards.
Whatever happens I know that if we are to glorify God
and achieve anything then what we overcome has to be significant. Just
a few small trials and the odd pebble to trip over just wont do. We, you
me and everyone are called to overcome in a big way and this world and
all her systems, temptations and trials is no small thing. But you and
I are brave and have a mighty and loving God on our side and as I once
heard someone say ' don't give up even the angels are cheering you on'
Love to you and have a simply wonderful day
Cary
Oh and please, please, please keep us in your prayers.
We so desperatly need them too.
