Wow, John....it hadn't occurred to me that the 101st are indeed the "Screamin Eagles".....and in fact he is in the "Air Assault Division".    So, you are right - he did see the unit and division he would be in even before joining the army.   Secondly, he saw that he would be in Saddam's palace, and this is where the 101st / Air Assault Div is headquartered.
      I recall that he said that when he saw Saddam Hussein, that he was all rumpled looking, going up the stairs, had on a "smoking jacket" and tired, and dressed like Rodney Dangerfield.    Iraq is indeed a "danger-field" is it not, and a war that is getting no respect, very unpopular.   Perhaps you are right that Saddam will be "retired", he will die.   But also perhaps the war itself will "retire", for now we certainly need a reason to save face and get the heck out of there, for we cannot afford this any longer.   Carpet cleaning the stairs would certainly be "cleaning up",,,,,and lol,,,,,in reading about Mosul recently, the article stated that the Mosul area was undergoing more "reconstruction" than some other areas in Iraq.   Now, we were also not aware that Saddam and his sons kept nature preserves and in fact bird sanctuaries for exotic birds.   So he saw these huge creatures fly out of confinement, down the stairs and out the front door.   He followed them out the front door.   To me, this seems like a dream statement of "obtaining freedom from confinement", and that the birds may represent those "eagles" of which the Lord spoke, who would gather at the "body", or carcasse.   Also, our Lord spoke one time about "if you do not eat my flesh and drink of my blood, then you are no part of me......" which seems to allude to carnivorous birds.    Indeed, the day of the rapture we will indeed fly up to Him, and partake of His likeness, and so become like Him.
       The timing of his dream is unusual, also, in that the dream took place early last January.   He left Saturday night 24th, at midnight, and said that they would be in Kuwait, for one week, after which they would convoy up to Mosul, which would take a couple days.    That puts him at Saddam Hussein's palace on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 3  - Rosh Hashanah!
          Oh, Lordie, if only it could be,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
